Latin Flavor: Victoria Vanucci
Like most of our Latin Flavor entries, I don’t know all that much about Victoria Vanucci, an Argentinian model/actress, but mostly gorgeous bikini model. She’s been in Playboy (sorry, no pictures of that here, boys), and has graced the cover and pages of Maxim Magazine. And as those of you who resides in Latin America knows, their version of Maxim are a lot more risque then our American versions. Basically, they’ll show T&A in bushels, while we’ll be lucky if we get a celebrity in the magazine that shows SOME skin. Yes, it’s that ridiculous. But where was I? Oh right, here’s Victoria Vanucci doing what she does best, and what she does best is look great in a bikini.

As was the case with Shakira, I don’t speak a lick of Spanish, but I’m willing to buy Paula DeAnda’s CDs and take a listen, especially since she’s what the kids would call “really, really hot”. Hotchie Motchie! Latin Flavor explosion! Ahem. Although she’s of Mexican descent, Paula DeAnda is all American, having been born in San Angelo, Texas. (Woot woot! A hot Texan in the house!) Paula is currently signed to Arista Records by no other than the legendary Clive Davis himself, and she’s worked with notables like Natalie, Baby Bash, Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo, and producers Happy Perez, Mike Aguirre, and Stargate. Take a listen to her latest single, “Easy”, which is getting mucho airplay.
Latin Flavor: Paola Nunez

Our Latin Flavor of the day, Paola Nunez, was born in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico, which I think is somewhere between Mexico and, um, California, but don’t hold me to it. She’s an actress who has worked entirely in the Spanish language markets, with works on “Mientras haya vida”, “Amor en custodia”, and “Lo que callamos las mujeres”. I think she’s been doing mostly just TV work right now, but with those kinds of looks, I’m sure movies won’t be far behind. Then again, one can only hope. Here’s Paola Nunez looking good. Unfortunately there’s not a whole lot about her on the net, but these will just have to do for now.
Latin Flavor: Marcela Kloosterboer

Marcela Kloosterboer’s name makes her sound like she hails from Germany or thereabouts, but she is in fact a bona fide Latin Flavor entry, and not another one of my cheats. Our lovely Marcela hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is an actress model. According to IMDB.com, she was nominated for Best New Actress in 2004 for her work on “Roma”, which was about, um, Rome? Or not. Presently, Marcela can be seen on the shows “Bendita vida”, “Doble venganza”, and the mini-series “Sin código”. And you know I can’t go a day without my “Bendita” and “Doble” episodes. Um, yeah, I’m dying here, guys. Enjoy some Marcela Kloosterboer.
Latin Flavor: Mayra Veronica

Mayra Veronica is Cuban, but I believe being Cuban qualifies as being a Latina. And if not — hey, I’m going to make the call that it is, and go with it. Besides looking awfully good in a bikini (gratuitous big butt included), our Mayra Veronica is a model and has appeared in places like FHM, Smooth, and King magazine. And oh yeah, Maxim, Edge, and Open Your Eyes were not far behind. She’s a model, actress, and has been on Univision’s Don Francisco Presenta, which according to my terrible Spanish, means I think means Don Francisco is Cool. But don’t think Mayra is just a pretty face; she’s got a Psychology degree and minor in Theatre from Florida International University. Brains and bootie. Nice!

It could eventually turn out that Anahi Gonzales also belongs in the Random Supermodel of the Day category, but until I get verifiable confirmation that she is in fact a supermodel, she’ll just have to be satisfied with filling out our Latin Flavor of the Day category. And of course by “verifiable confirmation” I mean some Joe Blow with an Internet connection makes a Wikipedia entry on her. Before that, well, this will have to do. And of course I’m purely guessing here as well. I don’t know, but “Gonzales” just sounds Latin to me. In any case, Anahi Gonzales looks really, really, and I mean, REALLY good in lingerie. Seriously, DAMN, girl.
Latin Flavor: Amelia Vega

You don’t get to be Miss Anything by looking average, or being a little bit better looking than average. And you certainly don’t get to win the Miss Universe pageant without looking killer in a two-piece bikini and basically anything else they threw at you. Having said that, Our Latin Flavor for the day is Amelia Vega, who claimed the title of Miss Dominican Republic in 2003, before going on to take the Miss Universe crown in the same year. And she did it all while she was just 18 years old, to boot! So what were YOU doing when you were 18? Since giving up the crown to a new winner, Amelia has gone into TV work, hosting the show “Voces de América” on Telemundo and the Reality TV program “Suegras”, before jumping into the movies with “The Lost City”, directed by Andy Garcia.

Besides looking like a Goddess in a two-piece bikini, Brazilian model Luciana Gimenez, well, looks really really good in a two-piece bikini. (Pictures below for verification, non-believers!) So who is she and from whence she came? She originally hails from São Paulo, Brazil, making her yet another tall, leggy Brazilian model who has since retired to TV, where she hosts “Superpop” Rede TV. And a major trivia about Luciana Gimenez? She had an affair with freakish rocker Mick Jagger, the “incident” producing a son named Lucas. Let’s hope the boy got his mother’s looks, because if he ends up looking like Jagger — well, that’s one weird looking dude, fer sure.
Latin Flavor: Gabriela “Gaby” Spanic

I know, it’s been a while since we indulged in a little Latin Flavor posting, so here’s Gabriela “Gaby” Spanic, a Latin American telenovela (what they call soap operas down South) actress who hails from Ortiz, Guárico, Venezuela. Before making the jump to overly melodramatic Spanish TV (aren’t they all?), Gaby was Miss Guarico in the 1992 Miss Venezuela pageant, in which she won “Miss Body” (and what a body it is!). Some of her more famous TV works include “Doña Barbara”, “Tierra de Pasiones” (”Land of Passion”), and of course, a stint on “Decisiones”, which I’m sure everyone has seen. Right? And hey, here’s some extra fantasy material: she has a twin sister named Daniela who is also a model! Yum. Twin Latin Flavors.

Our Latin Flavor of the day is Cecilia Ponce. (You know, speaking of which, I should have called this category “Latin Flavor of the Day”, instead of just “Latin Flavor”, because, you know, it would make more sense. But whatever, there’s no accounting for forward thinking, which I have none, apparently.) But where was I? Oh right. Mexican TV personality Cecilia Ponce looks a lot like Stacy Keibler, don’t you think? From the blonde hair to the face to the tall, lean, super hot body. Did I mention Cecilia Ponce is super hot? Well in case I didn’t, I always meant to.

I’m really not sure who Ana Paula Oliveira, but from what I’ve found on the net, she seems to be involved in soccer. Maybe she’s a referee. With braces. Um. Yeah, and there was something about her and Playboy. I guess the big deal is that, for a soccer ref, she’s kind of hot, and plus she models on the site, and now seems to be getting ready to show up in the pages of Playboy and show off her, ur, soccer balls. Heck, she even has an official website!

I’m not sure who Linda Batista is, or even which one of the three “Linda Batista” that is currently listed on IMDB.com. (Although I’m reasonably certain she’s Brazilian, but she could be Italian, which would sort of make putting her in the “Latin Flavor” category all kinds of wrong, but whatever.) Basically, I have no clue about Linda Batista, the hot spicy mama in these pictures. But hey, she’s extremely hot and fills out a two-piece bikini like no one’s business, and that’s good enough for us. Get some!

Our Lavin Flavor of the day comes to us from the country of Spain, where Ariadne Artiles was a would-be psychologist when a top finish in an Elite Modeling contest changed her outlook on life. Let’s see: school for psychology or make loads of money doing nothing but walking back and forth and wearing (and in some cases, not wearing) any clothes? Yeah, I’m guessing it wasn’t that hard of a choice for our Latina babe. Ariadne’s past works include advertisement gigs for Abercrombie & Fitch, Anna Mora, Axe, Garnier, La Perla, Nautica, Rosa Clará, and Triumph.

On Friday Hollywood’s hottest Latinas (and some Waspy chicks) showed up for the 2007 Alma Awards, basically a “Latin Only” showcase. Well, actually, you can still show up if you’re not Latin, but your chances of winning probably ain’t so good. Present and accounted for were a bevy of Latin babes, highlighted by the most famous one of them all, Eva Longoria. Joining her were Sofia Vergara, Constance Marie, Alexa Vega, Marisol Nichols, Danna Garcia, and former beauty queen Dayanara Torres. So who won and who lost? Who cares is more like it!
Latin Flavor: Elisabeth Reyes

Our Latin Flavor for today comes courtesy of Elisabeth Reyes, 2006’s Miss Spain. So what does a Miss Spain do once she’s given up her crown to her successor? Basically she poses almost nude in a man’s magazine. You gotta love the Spanish! An American beauty queen would never be able to do that. “Family values” and all that other junk would prohibit her, and if it didn’t, people would exorcise her for showing off her hotness. After all, if she wasn’t hot, how could she have won all those beauty pageants to begin with? Anyways, here’s the former Miss Spain Elisabeth Reyes looking spectacular with and without her crown (but mostly without).

Our Latin Flavor of the day Jana Ina was Miss Brasil and Miss Intercontinental in 1998, not to be confused with Miss Continental who, I think, drowned while trying to cross the Gulf of Mexico or something. Um, what was I saying? Oh right, Jana Ina. She was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and she works regularly as a model and TV host, with stints on “Taff”, “G – giga.de”, “TV total” and “Samba in Mettmann.” As you all know, I never go a day without my daily dose of “Samba in Mettmann”. Doesn’t everyone?

Since I don’t watch Mexican telenovas (I mean, I don’t understand Spanish, so what’s the point, right?), I have absolutely no idea who Altair Jarabo is, but I’ll be damn if I’m not very curious now after this spread by her in Maxim Magazine. Maybe it’s the cute, next-door pretty face, or the body, or maybe a combination of both. Heck, maybe it’s the “wearing nothing but a bikini and high heels” thing. (Yeah, I’m gonna go with the last one.) According to IMDB.com, Altair has been in the telenovas “Código postal” and “Amor no tiene precio, El”. I know, I was gonna get the DVD set, too.

I’ll grant you that making Shakira our Latin Flavor of the day is something of a cheat. After all, I think I’ve sort of (without really saying so) establish that the Latin Flavor category is really to be used to introduce you to Latina hotties you might not have ever heard of. Then again, it’s my site so I’m gonna post whatever the heck I want, and right now I want to see some smoking hot Shakira, so that’s what we’re all gonna get. Suck it up! By the way, I hear Shakira’s hip-gyrating goodness is twice as good live, so if she ever comes to your hometown, run out and grab tickets. And if you can’t afford one, rob some old lady and buy one. Latin Flavor: Luli Fernandez

Argentinian model Luli Fernandez’s nickname is “Chica Stone” (or “Lolita Stone”), based, I believe, on an encounter she had with Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones. Did she roll his stone? Did he roll hers? Who knows. And unless my Spanish is not up to snuff (by which I mean, I can’t speak a lick of Spanish), she’s also being compared to fellow Argentinian babe Carolina Pampita Ardohain. That notorious connection aside, we prefer to concentrate on Luli Fernandez the really hot Latina, which in this case is more than enough for us to make her our Latin Flavor girl of the day.

My old standby, Wikipedia, doesn’t have very much on our Latin Flavor of the day. Here’s what it had to say: “Pamela David is an Argentinian television star & model who found fame in the reality TV show ‘El BarTV 2′. She is originally from Santiago del Estero.” Bah! I am so disillusioned. Thankfully IMDB.com had a little bit more: “Moved from hometown Santiago del Estero to Buenos Aires in 1998 to study Management for Enterprises, but left the university in order to concentrate in her career as model (for the Ricardo Piñeiro Modelling Agency).” Hey, it ain’t “Crime and Punishment”, but good enough.
