Another day, another smoking hot Latina model to gawk at. What, are you complaining? You better not, or it’s BAM! Right to the moon, Alice! Ahem. Where was I? Oh, right. This time around it’s Argentina’s Emilia Attias, who you might have caught on the covers of Maxim, Gente and Gabo. And if not, then you’re missing out. Well, not really, because you can catch her here in all her undressed glory. This is one spicy Latina.

Wikipedia lists our Latin Flavor of the day Silvina Luna as a “supermodel”, but I’m not going to go that far. For one, she’s got gargantuan boobies, and I don’t recall any supermodels ever having that big of a coconut. Anyways, they go on to say about her: Born in the city of Rosario, Silvina Luna wanted to study drama and get a job to help her family. After finishing school at the age of 17, she moved to Buenos Aires and worked as secretary and a model. She lived in Miami for a year with a friend. Back in Argentina she entered Big Brother 2 where she became famous as one of the participants. Now she is in the model agency of Ricardo Piñeiro and has achieved lots of her dreams.

There is very little information on our Latin Flavor entry of the day, so I’m deferring to her bio listing on IMDB.com, which says about Luz Elena Gonzalez, she hails from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, is of European ancestry, is a model and frequent hostess on the Univision late night show ‘Al Ritmo de la Noche.” And finally, she was Miss Mexico 1994 and finished 6th in the Miss Universe pageant. Other than that, she looks quite fetching in a bikini, which as you know, is more than enough for us.

Mexican TV actresses have one thing over their American counterparts — they all seem to be older, more mature, whereas your typical American TV actress seem to be teenagers. Then again, every TV on the air right now seems to be populated by pretty 25 year olds pretending to be 17, so maybe that’s why. Wait, where was I? Oh right, our Latin Flavor for today is Mexican actress Marlene Favela, who has been on programs like “Contra viento y marea” and of course, everyone’s favorite, “Zorro: The Sword and The Rose”. You gotta wonder what would win if a sword went up against a rose, since — well, the sword would win, but I digress.

I don’t get a chance to watch Mexican television nearly as much as I want to (as in, I don’t watch Mexican television at all, mostly because I can’t speak Spanish, but I digress), but if I did watch Mexican TV more often, I would have discovered our latest Latin Flavor, Aracely Arambula, a lot sooner. As it stands, here she is. Aracely Arambula is an actress and singer, and recently sold out H para Hombres magazine just by appearing in it. Now that’s proof of hotness, baby!

Latinas don’t come any more flavorful than Cecilia Bonelli. Not a whole lot is known about this Argentinian hottie, but according to babelfish, which translated a couple of Spanish pages for me, Cecilia Bonelli is apparently into extreme sports and does something or rather with the Spanish version of Fox Sports. And I may be reading the translation wrong, but she also likes football, aka soccer. But then again, even if I’m wrong about the translation, I’m pretty sure I got it right. She’s Latina, they love soccer as much as we Americans love half naked chicks in bikinis such as Cecilia Bonelli. Holy connection, Batman!

Originally hailing from the Dominican Republic, you probably recognize (or maybe you don’t) Dania Ramirez as one of the evil mutants in “X-Men: The Last Stand”. She played the facially tattooed mutant Callisto, who had a very, very bad attitude. Later she scored a role on HBO’s “The Sopranos”, playing a single mother who young Sopranos tyke A.J. falls for. In 2007 she’s got two movies, the gang movie “Illegal Tender” and the Denis Leary cop TV show “Ft. Pit”. Here’s hoping for more from our latest latin flavor of the day.
26 March 2007
According to her bio on IMDB.com (which I’ll grant you is as reliable as Liberal indoctrination in college, but just go with it), our Latin Flavor of the day Carla Ortiz (or as she’s sometimes credited, Karla Ortiz) was once a professional tennis player before, um, not doing that anymore. She currently guest spots on Latin TV, with quick stints on American shows like “CSI: Miami” and “Without a Trace”. And oh yeah, in her spare time she owns (and one assumes, runs) a spa. She’s originally from Bolivia, which as everyone knows, was where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was shot to death. Damn you, Bolivia!

It’s not everyday that you meet a woman whose face matches the physical perfectness of her body. Such is our Latin lady of the day: Catherine Fulop. Here’s her bio via Wikipedia: Catherine Amanda Fulop García is a Venezuelan model, and actress. She participated in Miss Venezuela in 1986 and was the third finalist. She was married with Fernando Carrillo from 1990 to 1994. She has been married with Osvaldo Sabatini since 3 April 1998 and has two daughters with him, Oriana and Tiziana. She now lives in Argentina where she works as an actress and conducts “Catherine 100%” a tv exercise program on Fox Sports en Español.

All you need to know about our Latin Flavor of the day, Carla Ossa, is that she’s from Colombia, and she fills out a swimsuit and a two-piece bikini like no one’s business. Other than that, you can make up your own history for her: hey, maybe she was that girl who sat next to you in Science class, who you always wanted to ask out, but never did? Yeah, that’s her. Or maybe she’s the girl you hit with your car. Ooops, that’s a little morbid. Let’s go with the girl in the Science class. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

Colombia has given the world many things: leggy supermodels, leggy fashion models, leggy women on the beach going commando, bad water, and of course, Pablo the world’s biggest drug dealer. And now they can add model Karen Carreno to that list. She’s done work for Beverly Hills, Guess?, Ivonne, J.Lo, Lacoste, and Yamamay Beachwear. Beyond all that, she’s just a really attractive Colombian woman that reminds me it’s been a while since I visited Colombia. The last time I was down there? Well, um, never?
7 March 2007
It’s been a while since I posted any new Latin Flavor (it’s been what, two weeks?) that I’m beginning to feel that I’m neglecting our hotties to the south. Well no more! Here’s Mexican actress Galilea Montijo, who has the distinction of winning the the 1st Big Brother VIP. I’m pretty sure that’s the Mexican version of the Big Brother Reality TV show, but I could (and is probably) wrong, so just go with it. Currently you can catch the buxom Galilea Montijo as the host of “VidaTv” on, one presumes, Mexican TV. If you don’t get Mexican TV and you live in the States, you can, well, probably find it on one of the 50 billion Mexican-only channels currently showing in the States.

Oh, those crazy Brazilians their neverending supply of tall, leggy supermodels. One such product is Fernanda Tavares, who has graced Sports Illustrated’s infamous swimsuit issue and done the runway for Victoria’s Secret, and been on the cover of just about every magazine that matters, and some that don’t, such as the one I produced in my basement. (Circulation 1, in case you were wondering. Okay, it’s actually 2, if you count that slow kid down the block.) Here’s some trivia about our lovely Brazilian: She hosts a Brazilian version of the show “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”.

Brazil has pretty much had a stranglehold on the world of leggy supermodels, but there are a couple of countries vying for second place. One of them is fellow Latin American country Argentina, which has been pumping out the supermodels and models in general at a fast clip in recent years. One of them is boobalicious Sabrina Rojas, who has the face, the body — and yes, the boobs — to knock a couple of Brazilians down a peg or two. Here is some Sabrina Rojas to prove my point.
14 February 2007
So I was watching “Blade II” on TV the other day (which, in case you were wondering, you should never do; the “Blade” movies are made to be watched on DVDs, preferably the Unrated Versions, because TV just doesn’t translate well what with all the blood and guts and eviscerations that is Blade’s trademark; but I digress), and I noticed Blade’s love interest in the film, a female vampire played by Chilean babe Leonor Varela. I’ve never seen Varela before, but my oh my did she make an impact. Here’s more of her.

What’s better than a trip to Paris for the weekend? How about a slew of pictures of the gorgeous Colombian model Natalia Paris in bikini ware. Because, let’s face it, there’s nothing better than a hot woman in a two-piece bikini. Am I right or am I right? And get this, guys, not only does Natalia have one of the most rockin’ figures in all of modeldom, but our lovely lass even raises money for poor children in Colombia. Hot, charitable, and fits a bikini like no one’s business? I would call her perfect, but my imaginary girlfriend might take offense.

Alana De La Garza is probably best known as the girl who fell in love with David Caruso’s character on “CSI: Miami” and then got killed. Which goes to show you, kids, never ever fall in love with a TV character who spends all his time fiddling with his glasses and staring down at the sidewalk. Nothing good ever comes from that. Why don’t the kids ever listen to me? But anyways, here’s Spanish lovely Alana De La Garza, who can recently be seen on NBC’s “Law and Order”, where she’s putting away scumbags of questionable character. But knowing that show, she’ll probably get killed off after a year or two…
26 January 2007
Venezuelan babe Daniela Kosan was a contestant in the Miss Venezuelan pagent in 1997, but she only came in third. Now a lot of your average Venezuelans would have just given up on this whole “superficially use my body for money” deal, but not our Daniela Kosan, who went on to become, um, a really hot model and TV personality. Heck, if not for this “go get’em” attitude of hers, she would never have gone on to work for E! Entertainment Television Latin America. And you know the kind of high standards E! Entertainment Channel has. Yeah, that’s the ticket.
25 January 2007
So who is Juliana Moreira and why is she worth our attention? After all, Brazilian babes are a dime a dozen nowadays. Well for one she’s got a great look and according to the Spanish version of Wikipedia, she’s, well, here, I’ll let the babelfish autotranslator tell it (badly): “Appreciated above all from the children, at least in Italy, it toes make one’s debut in Brasi them as valletta in a television program lead from Fabio Junior (Brazilian singer) and continues its career as it models in several fashionable programs of the tv of its Country. Arrived in Italy approximately a year and means it makes, has continued its career here of models. Teo Mammucari has chosen it as valletta (the specific term of the program is “Marzullina” or “Culturina”) for its transmission modern Culture, in the summer of 2006.” Yeah, I don’t know what the hell all of that means, either. Thanks, poorly functional Babelfish software!

Venezuela strikes again in the form of the bikini-clad Gaby Espino, a model and actress who hails from Caracas, Venezuela. The star of TV shows such as “A todo corazón” and “Amantes de Luna Llena” originally wanted to be veterinarian, but ended up in Spanish TV instead. Hey, that’s what happened to me, too. Except, you know, minus the whole “getting into Spanish TV” part, although I did come dangerously close to getting on Telemundo during a stint in Los Angeles. Almost.
