Hey kids, remember when Liv Tyler was really tall but geeky in “Armageddon”, but then she changed and got really, really, awesomely hot in the “Lord of the Rings” films, then something happened, and she kinda stopped looking hot thanks to getting knocked up? Good news, Tolkien dorks: Arwen is hot again! Remember when Liv Tyler showed up in “Lord of the Rings”, and how hot she looked? We’re talking about the kind of role that launched a thousand fanboy’s fantasies here. Then Liv got pregnant, popped out a baby, and kind of, well, blew up. Literally. Earlier this week Liv Tyler and Kate Bosworth met up in the West Village for some coffee at a quaint little restaurant and the two actresses exchanged a friendly smooch. Or at least, Liv Tyler went in for a smooch, and Kate Bosworth looked kinda surprised by the incoming lips. (Liv Tyler has giant lips, I’m told.) But hey, who’s complaining? Liv Tyler is Betty Ross in THE INCREDIBLE HULK

The Hollywood Reporter says that former “Lord of the Rings” elfen babe Liv Tyler will be joining French director Louis Leterrier’s “re-imagining” of the Hulk (called, not-so-creatively, “The Incredible Hulk”) as the new Betty Ross. I hasten to call “new and improved”, because frankly, I don’t think you can improve upon anything associated with Jennifer Connelly, who I think is just incredible. But Tyler isn’t bad, and she certainly can do the dole-eye stuff that the part requires as she watches her lover Bruce Banner (Edward Norton, replacing Eric Bana) “hulk out” and go on rampages like the Baldwin brothers with too much liquor in them. Apparently the new Hulk movie will pretend Ang Lee’s 2003 version never happened. Hollywood, you gotta love’em.

Or that scene in “Armageddon” when Ben Affleck was playing with her flat tummy as her father’s music played in the background, eliciting weird feelings in all of us?
