Stephen King’s “The Mist” Rolls On

Stephen King’s “The Mist” is coming to the big screen courtesy of Frank Darabont, aka the Only Man Who has Ever Made a Decent Stephen King Movie, counting among his accomplishments “The Shawshank Redemption” and “Green Mile”. In “The Mist”, residents of a small (probably Maine) town are forced to hole up in a supermarket in the aftermath of a storm that creates a mysterious mist that ends up covering their town, and unleashes an army of creatures against them. Knowing King as I do, the creatures will probably end up forming some kind of giant spider or bug or something stupid like that. King’s books always, invariably, end up with the dumbest endings you can possibly imagine. “Dreamcatcher” and “It”, anyone?
