Let’s face it, America; you got no one to blame but yourself. NBC gave you a perfectly good opportunity to ogle Michelle Ryan every week for the next few years, and what did you do? You refused to take them up on it. Instead, you allowed Michelle Ryan’s The Bionic Woman TV show to fall in the ratings, and it’s now been axed from the line-up. There, are you happy? You won’t be seeing easily the hottest British import to hit American shores since Kate Beckinsale on TV on a weekly basis anymore. You’ve been a bad, bad boy. Now go to your room and think about what you’ve done! In the meantime, see what you’ll be missing. Holy God, that is a body. Is that a body? Now THAT is a body, boys.

The British are coming! The British are coming! Well, the British women, anyway. (Okay, there are some men, too, but we don’t really care for them all that much here. It’s British women or bust, baby!) If you’ve turned on the TV recently, you’ll notice that British babes are all over the place, some fronting new shows, and others co-starring in them. Leading the pack is Michelle Ryan, who came from EastEnders to star in NBC’s Bionic Woman, followed by Anna Friel (ex-Brookside) in ABC’s Pushing Daisies, and then there are Sophia Myles and Lena Headey from Moonlight and The Sarah Connor Chronicles, respectively. And let’s not forget Parminder Nagra, who is in her, what, 50th season of ER? For a full list of British Babes invading American shores, check out here. For now, let’s get to the pictures.

I don’t know if these pictures of Michelle Ryan doing a one-arm pull-up are promo images from her upcoming show “Bionic Woman”, but either way, it just turns me on something awful. I don’t know what it is about an attractive woman who can do one-arm pull-ups and kick my ass, but I can’t get enough of them. Chances are, these are just promo images from the show, but it’s the illusion that matters, and right now the illusion makes me just so Godawful hot for Michelle Ryan…

I don’t think America fully realizes what kind of hot-bodied beauty they have under their noses, waiting to blow up as the new Bionic Woman in NBC’s remake of the ’80s show. The 20-something actress from England has a fabulous body and a gorgeous face, and extra points? She’s got a fantastic rack. She isn’t showing that off right now, but wait until the geeks in the audience gets a load of that chest during a wet T-shirt scene. And trust me, the writers are gonna put in a scene that requires Michelle Ryan to get wet and show off the body. They would be stupid not to.

Apparently being a homophobe and gay basher isn’t a crime anymore in Hollywood (remember the good ol days when it was?) because Isaiah Washington, late of “Grey’s Anatomy”, has found a new home at NBC with their upcoming remake of “The Bionic Woman” TV show, starring Michelle Ryan. News is that Washington has landed a 5-episode gig, and the network may put him in another TV series after his stint on the sci-fi show is done. Hey, I’m glad Hollywood is finally in the forgiving business again. Then again, all Washington did was call a fellow actor on a show (who just happens to be gay) “faggot”; it’s not like he ran the guy over with his car or anything. You know, like Lindsay Lohan and God knows how many actors who have tried to kill civilians with their cars.

It’s Michelle Ryan versus Katee Sackhoff (yes, that’s right, Starbuck herself), here playing the original Bionic Woman, who goes toe to toe with the new Bionic Woman — or should I say, Bionic Girl? Since, you know, the show is clearly setting it up that way: Bionic Woman vs. Bionic Girl! And a chick fight in the rain? Man, that’s all kinds of fine right there! Check out the new “Bionic Woman” when it hits NBC soon. Here’s a clip of the Ryan/Sackhoff fight in the rain. Groovy.

The new Bionic Woman is coming, and if you aren’t excited, or at least just a little bit curious, then you don’t have a pulse. Or maybe you just don’t like sci-fi TV, which is highly possible. Here’s what the new “Bionic Woman” is all about: Updating of the 1970s series in which the life of a professional tennis player is saved with bionic technology that gives her superhuman abilities. Modern version examines what contemporary women go through in order to balance all areas of their busy lives. Yadda yadda yadda. Here are cast photos of the series stars, including Michelle Ryan, Will Yun Lee, Miguel Ferrer, Chris Bowers, Mae Whitman, and ex-”Third Watch” star Molly Price, who I’m dying to see back on TV. Love her work.

Access Hollywood (via SuperheroHype) has got your first look at British lovely Michelle Ryan as Jamie Sommers, aka The Bionic Woman. There’s also an article and interview with the ex-”East Enders” star (she played Zoe Slater), who plays a young woman who gets $50 million worth of bionic body parts after she suffers an “awful accident”. The show is definitely going to be action packed, with plenty of fighting. I mean, hell, you don’t give a woman $50 mil of bionic parts and tell her to jump around in place. You send that girl on spy missions and save-the-world type stuff!

Variety reports that NBC has greenlit a year’s worth of commitment to a remake of the “Bionic Woman” TV show, to star British actress Michelle Ryan (below). The show will be produced by David Eick, Glen Morgan, Jason Smilovic and Michael Dinner, and Ryan will star as a woman who gets remade into a, well, basically a cyborg — half robot, half human. No idea if they’re going to follow the premise of the original ’70s show, but I’m sure they’ll tweak the character’s origins to fit the contemporary world. Look for Ryan’s Bionic Woman to be a martial artist, ass-kicking super agent or somesuch. Hey, sounds good to me!

A while ago I had a story about the Powers That Be updating the Lindsay Wagner TV series “The Bionic Woman”. Well now here’s news from Variety that TPTB has found their new bionic muse — it’s British lass Michelle Ryan, who will probably be known to most people (who watches Brit TV, that is) as Zoe Slater on the British soap “EastEnders”. Of course the new “Bionic Woman” is still just in pilot form, and might never make it past that. I doubt that, though, as a sexy woman fighting crime gets the boys all atwitter. Remember “Alias”?
