Rachel Smith is the New Miss USA
If you were watching Miss USA late last night (oh who am I kidding, nobody watches this stuff), then you know that Rachel Smith, aka Miss Tennessee, was recently crowned Miss USA, which I’m told is different from Miss America, although how it’s different, I absolutely, positively have no idea. All I know about Miss USA is that Donald Trump owns it and Tara Conner held the crown in 2006, and oh boy was she fun to have around! We can only hope that Miss Tennessee’s reign as Miss USA will be just as memorable. Don’t let us down, Rachel! Can I buy you a drink?
Miss USA Tara Conner is Now a Very, Very Good Girl
Who says celebrity rehab is a joke, that it’s little more than a famous person’s self-serving way of getting even more attention? According to Miss USA Tara Conner, rehab has done her good, and she’s now a very, very good girl. In a recent interview, Conner said, “Rehab for me was basically like an awakening. I had troubles. We all have issues we have to deal with. It’s kind of funny that it happened during my reign as Miss USA.” Basically, rehab was good for her. Hey, if you aren’t convinced, what’s it gonna take? Well if she would stop with all the clothes and get back to the bikini days, that would be a good start.

You gotta wonder what it is about the Miss USA crown that has Tara Conner, the reigning champ, fighting tooth and nail to hold onto it. Now she’s “hinting” at the possibility of childhood abuse in her past (her parents are gonna love that!), which is another notch in her “Don’t blame me, I need rehab!” belt. I mean, seriously, it’s just a friggin beauty pageant title, and it’s only going to last for one year. What is it about that tiara that has her fighting so hard to keep it? In any case, here’s Tara at the Today Show yesterday, talking with Matt Lauer about this and that. As usual, Matt pretends to be a journalist. (Why don’t they just let the weather guy talk to her? That’d actually be interesting.)
Miss USA Tara Conner is a Bad, Bad Girl, Part 2
The more she opens her mouth, the more the world knows that Miss USA Tara Conner has been a bad, bad, bad girl. Besides going around slurping alcohol while underage, Miss USA has admitted that she was also a cocaine fiend. But did she ever get messed up during beauty pagents? Oh Gosh no, says the disgraced beauty queen. Says Conner about her hard drinking ways: “Things started unraveling for me very early, at a very young age. Probably about around 14. I have the disease of alcoholism and addiction.” She should give Mel Gibson a call. And then speed dial that guy from “Grey’s Anatomy” who has the addiction of being a bigot, Washington-what’s-his-name. Read more about Miss USA’s long laundry list of addictions here.
Donald Trump Approves of Underage Drinking
That is, as long as you’re 20-year old, blonde, super hot, and has a smoking body like the current Miss USA, Tara Conner. After news became public that the Miss USA committee and Donald Trump, who is part owner of the crown, were considering revoking Conner’s tiara for “personal behavior” problems (i.e. she drinks when she’s not supposed to and likes sneaking men into her apartment), Trump said today that Miss USA will get a second chance. I.e. “You’re not fired!” All of this is actually pretty funny, especially considering that Conner turned 21 just this Monday! You can read the rest of this brouhaha here.
Miss USA Tara Conner is a Bad, Bad Girl
Apparently Tara Conner, 2006’s Miss USA, has done something very, very bad. Or at least, “bad” in the sense that you’re Miss USA and the runner-up for Miss Universe 2006, and you shouldn’t be doing such things. Whatever “such” things are, mind you, because the people who run the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant (Donald Trump, et al) aren’t saying, only that they are “evaluating” whether Tara should keep her tiara or not because of “behavioral and personal issues”. What could it be? Apparently New York City bars are involved. No matter what happens, Tara will always have a place in our hearts. You know, that part of us that loves gorgeous women with incredibly perfect bodies.

(singing) Here she is, Miss USA, looking uber hot in bikini pictures! (/stops singing) Ahem. In case you missed it, and you probably did (who didn’t?), Tara Conner is the new Miss USA for 2006. Being not very plugged into the whole pageant deal, I don’t know if Miss USA is different from Miss America or Mrs. America or Miss Teen America or Miss Teen USA, etc etc. Regardless, there’s something really hot about seeing a beauty pageant winner in two-piece bikini pictures. After all, aren’t they supposed to be all wholesome and whatnot? And check out the victory fist pump by our Miss USA. Dang! Watch out, world!
