For a while there, it really did seem as if Natassia Malthe was going to bust out and become a major Hollywood star. Our real introduction to her was in 2005’s “Elektra” with Jennifer Garner, but alas that movie bombed the hell out of everything it touched, so it didn’t really push Natassia’s career into the stratosphere as we had expected. But since then she’s still worked pretty steadily, with roles in “Dead or Alive”, “Bloodrayne II” and the upcoming “Alone in the Dark II”. Okay, so maybe steadily isn’t really such a good thing when you’re stuck in Uwe Boll movies. But hey, she’s working, right? Here’s Natassia Malthe in FHM Germany, reminding us once again why we should pay more attention to her.

I found this reveal very interesting, because I sort of swim in the world of TV and movie news, and I’ve begun seeing commercials and adverts for a new TV show called “Scarlet” all across the net, and I was very curious. Not least of all because I haven’t heard anything about it, and no one seems to be reporting it. Turns out, it wasn’t a TV show starring Natassia Malthe, it was in fact a TV commercial for LG’s new line of flatscreen TVs starring Natassia Malthe. Go figure. Check out some of the commercials below. Okay, so the commercials actually look like commercials, but the ads I’ve seen for the commercial actually makes it seem like a TV show. But in any case, now you know.

What, did you demand a “Bloodrayne 2″ because the first one was just so gosh darn good? Oh well, whether you wanted it or not, it’s here. Uwe Boll’s fiendish masterpiece, “Bloodrayne” (originally starring Kristanna Loken) gets a sequel in “Bloodrayne 2: Deliverance”. Boll once again directs from a script by Christopher Donaldson and Neil Every, but this time Natassia Malthe (”Elektra”) takes over the role of half-human, half-vampire vampire killer Rayne, who must journey to the Wild Wild West of America to battle vampire cowboys led by — gasp! — a vampiric Billy the Kid! No, I absolutely, positively kid you not.

Besides the upcoming werewolf movie “Skinwalkers” (check out more about it here), Natassia Malthe has been in a number of action-adventure movies that you may or may not have seen. (Well, probably the latter.) She was the bad, bad girl in “Elektra” with Jennifer Garner, and a bad ass sword-slinging ninja in the as-yet-seen “DOA: Dead or Alive”, based on the popular videogame about scantily clad hot girls playing volleyball and then fighting. Now why they would do both, or either, is open to debate, but what’s not open to debate is Natassia Malthe’s inherent hotness.

I love me a low-budget horror movie. No, wait, let me rephrase that. I love me a cool low-budget horror movie. A horror flick needn’t have a big Hollywood budget to draw my attention, and “Skinwalkers” doesn’t have a big budget from the looks of it, but director Jason Isaacs seems to have gotten the most out of it. Two things that indicates this is the kind of movie that will look good on DVD but not so much on the big screen: obviously bad actors and a kind of “where’s the common sense?” script. Yes, I can tell both those things from the trailer. But hey, it looks pretty damn good, with plenty of werewolf and supernatural action, gunplay, and hot chicks involved in gratuitous sex scenes. Me likey! Keep reading…
