Granted, Odette Yustman’s first starring role didn’t exactly go gangbusters at the box office. Okay, so it didn’t just NOT go gangbusters, it sort of burst into flames and got buried at the box office. But whatever. That movie was all about Odette Yustman for me. The underwear scene was to die for. And hey, just because some money about some ghost kid didn’t make it for the moviegoing public, it doesn’t mean Odette Yustman still doesn’t have a stellar career in front of her. Failing that, more appearances like this in Arena magazine will be just a-okay with me. Her manager probably thinks differently, but what does he know.

In the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, “Cloverfield” hottie (and upcoming “The Unborn” babe) Odette Yustman complains that when she looks in the mirror, she thinks she’s way too skinny, and wonders where her boobs and hips are. Hey, I’m not complaining, but I can see Odette falling into the skinny Hollywood girl trap. If we’re lucky, she’ll fill out some, but not so much that she won’t, you know, look good in a bikini. Speaking of which, would it have been too much for Rolling Stone to give Odette something better to wear than this atrocious number? Plus, what’s with the hair? Coming on, Rolling Stone, you’re letting me down, man! You’re letting me down real hard here, boys. Anyways, enjoy some Odette Yustman. Or should I say, some of this, some Odette? Hah! I kill me.

J.J. Abrams’ monster movie “Cloverfield” introduced us to two intriguing concepts. One) A monster from the ocean can take a billion missiles to the face and still keep on keeping on; and Two) Odette Yustman is one hot mama. It wasn’t until later that we found out her name was Odette Yustman, which made us wonder, “Yustman? Odette? What’s that, some kind of traditional Hebrew name?” As it turns out, not so much. Odette Yustman is the product of a Cuban-Italian pairing. I shit you not. Not a hint of Jewishness in our girl at all. Color me shocked. And then later, very turned on, especially after noticing these little gems from GQ’s Men’s Style magazine. Yes, the pics are a bit small, sorry. I’ll post bigger ones when I run across them, which will probably be never. But hey, I think I’ve more than made up for this deficiency with a great video of the shoot.

In the new movie “The Unborn”, Odette Yustman plays a young woman who begins to realize that the ghost of a World War II Holocaust victim is trying to be reborn into our world through her body. Which, when you think about it, isn’t so hard to believe. I mean, come on, anyone who has seen “Cloverfield” already knows that Odette Yustman has a pretty hot body, so if you were a ghost and you could choose anyone to be born into, why not Odette Yustman? Exactly. Just because he’s dead doesn’t mean he don’t have needs. Anyhoo, here are some promos from the movie featuring Odette (love that name!) and co-star Meagan Good, who plays the best friend who gets killed violently in the movie. Oh come on, she’s black and sassy and in a horror movie — what else are they gonna do with her character?

I have yet to see J.J. Abrams’ “Cloverfield”. Why? Because monster movies scare me, what with all the monsters and whatnot running around eating people. You know, eating people is not a good thing, people, not at all. Anyhoo. Here’s one of “Cloverfield’s” stars, Odette Yustman, at the premiere of her movie. Word is, the cast of “Cloverfield” was cast because they were unknown actors, but take a look at Odette Yustman at the premiere of her movie, and tell me she doesn’t look like a mega movie starlet in the making. Great cheek bones, great body, and I haven’t seen someone shine like that at a red carpet movie premiere in a long while.

Being a regular on a little seen show like October Road didn’t do a whole lot for Odette Yustman’s career, and neither was being a bikini-clad regular on the stillborn South Beach TV show. But all that’s going to change for the sultry brunette when she pops up onscreen in J.J. Abrams’ much-hyped “Cloverfield” monster movie in a few days. Her name is Odette Yustman, she’s a brunette, and she’s going to give the monsters in “Cloverfield” a run for their money in the “must see” department. Take a look at Odette Yustman now, because you’re going to be seeing a whole lot more of this little lady in the future.
