In case you’ve been living under Rosie O’Donnell for the last year and change and haven’t had access to a TV set, Patricia Heaton is making her return to TV with a new show called Back to You. It co-stars that guy from Frasier and Cheers, and is set in a TV station. So you know what that means — it’s time to be seen. Now granted, Patricia Heaton being the big TV star that she is, she probably would have shown up at the Emmys anyway, but when you have a show to promote, it helps to be seen as much as possible to get people used to you coming back on TV. From what I hear, Back to You looks to be the funniest show of the new season. Let’s hope it lasts, because TV without a daily dose of Patricia Heaton just ain’t TV.

The general consensus among TV folks (i.e. those overpaid guys paid to watch TV and write about it; nice job if you can get it) is that Patricia Heaton’s return to TV in the FOX sitcom “Back to You” (co-starring some guy name Kelsey Grammar) is a hit in the making. Or at the very least, it’s got potential, or as much potential as any sitcom has in these day and age of serialized dramas ala “Lost”, “Heroes”, and just about every other TV series that lasts more than 30 minutes on TV nowadays. Here are some promotional images from the show. And yes, if you were wondering, Patricia Heaton still looks bloody good post-Raymond. So what’s the show about? Anchors at a TV station. And Patricia Heaton. Did I mention Patricia Heaton?

They’re mothers on TV, and they’re hot. Really, really hot. Real MILFs: Mothers I‘d Like to Frolick (on the beach with). From Raymond’s better half to Mike Seaver’s too-hot mom, this list seeks to explore the Top 10 Hottest Mothers on TV. And we’re not going to cheat and put people who are technically “moms” on TV by the virtue of having kids when they were young, or a single mother, or the girl from “Lost”. These moms are moms, which means more often than not there are more than one kids, and in their ’30s and ’40s. You know, characters who are REAL moms, not TV fake moms that can’t possibly be moms in real life. (And no, I won’t cheat with an animated mom, either.)

Patricia Heaton is 49 years old and climbing, but that won’t stop the world from recognizing her as the ultimate MILF. If you didn’t immediately think, “Holy Jesus that’s one hot momma (literally)” during her time on “Everybody Loves Raymond”, then you don’t appreciate good looking women. Age doesn’t matter when you have it, and Patricia Heaton most definitely has it. Although “Raymond” is gone, we won’t be Patricia-free for long, because Patricia is coming back on the FOX TV show “Back to You”, where she and Kelsey Grammar plays battling anchorpersons. It looks fun as hell. Tune in when it shows up, ya bums!

Good news from Variety, who reports that Fox has made a 13-episode commitment to “Action News,” the Kelsey Grammer-Patricia Heaton comedy from writers Christopher Lloyd and Steve Levitan. “Action News” will feature Grammer and Heaton as TV journalists and former colleagues who reunite at a local TV station. The series will be an ensemble workplace comedy and, in a rarity these days, a traditional four-camera comedy. Fox nabbed the show after agreeing to pay sister studio 20th Century Fox a license fee of $1.3 million-$1.4 million per episode.

So Patricia Heaton is strike out on her own after “Everybody Loves Raymond” called it quits. She has a new show coming out (they’ll probably name it something creative like “The Patricia Heaton Show” or something), and she’s making the talk show rounds to drum up enthusiasm. You know what, I think she should ignore all those talk shows, and just do more spreads like this picture. Oh my.
