I’ll grant you that I don’t know the basis for these photographs, but if I had to guess, I would say it’s a press meet-and-greet for a new movie that Rachael Leigh Cook is starring in, and that the two guys are her co-stars in the movie. Or, hey, it could be a shoot for “Save the Monkeys” for all I know. But all I really know, and all I really care about, is that whoever is posing them has put Rachael Leigh Cook is a very stimulating position between the two guys. Rachael Leigh Cook in Men’s Fitness

In her recent appearance in Men’s Fitness magazine, the title is, “Grown and Gorgeous”. Okay, I agree with the second part, but since when has Rachael Leigh Cook NOT been grown? She wasn’t a child star, was she? Because if she was, I don’t recall. Rachael Leigh Cook is now twenty-eight years old, but it sure feels like she’s been around for the longest time, doesn’t it? Or maybe it’s just that blasted “your brains on drug” commercial that keeps sticking to my mind whenever I recall Rachael Leigh Cook’s name. And of course, she did do that Godawful teen movie “She’s All That”. But then again, all teen movies are Godawful to my old, crabby mind. “Get off my lawn!” Ahem.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Rachael Leigh Cook in a two-piece bikini before, which she is wearing here — well, kinda. It’s somewhat of a cheat, but you know, it is Rachael Leigh Cook, and we’ve all been in love with her since that awful Freddie Prinze Jr. movie She’s All That when somehow she went from a nerd to a hottie, like that was really much of a stretch. And of course, let’s not forget that great Your Brain is on Drugs commercial. Who knew eggs being smashed would look so sexy? Anyhoo. Your Fourth of July Picture of the Day: Rachael Leigh Cook

Sure, Rachael Leigh Cook’s career hasn’t exactly been going as planned. Wasn’t she supposed to hit it really bit at one point? For a while there, all people knew of her was “the girl in the ‘this is your brains on drugs’” commercial. She landed some high-profile leading lady roles, but for one reason or another — now she’s doing movies mostly overseas and co-starring in small roles on TV and in the movies. Not exactly glory days stuff, but she’s good enough for this second day in our “Fourth of July Picture of the Day” series.

Whatever Happened to … Rachael Leigh Cook?

Actually, nothing’s happened to Rachael Leigh Cook. She hasn’t been abducted by Scientologists and forced to have Tom Cruise’s love child or fell into a well or anything. She’s just sort of, well, disappeared from mainstream Hollywood films. Which is surprisingly, because after a starring role in “She’s all That”, she seemed to have a major career ahead of her. Instead, Rachael Leigh Cook’s last five projects have been — well, you probably haven’t heard of them. She did do a recurring character on the NBC show “Las Vegas”, so she hasn’t completely been given up for dead by Hollywood. In 2007, you can catch her in no less than 5 movies, including “Matters of Life and Death”, “The Final Season”, and “Nancy Drew”.

Rachael Leigh Cook Takes on DaVinci

Rachael Leigh Cook’s career is a curious one. She started out white hot (remember that great “Your brains on drugs” commercial?) and then she parlayed that into a pretty good acting career (”She’s all That” anyone?). Then she just sort of dropped off the face of the Earth and started showing up on direct-to-video movies. Go figure. Anyways, here’s Rachael Leigh Cook surfacing in Cannes, France to take in the premiere of the much ballyhooed “The DaVinci Code”.
