Random Supermodel of the Day: Candice Swanepoel
I know that Candice Swanepoel is a supermodel, and thus she fits in our Random Supermodel of the Day column, even though I can’t really find much in the way of a biography on her via the net. Two things are in Candice Swanepoel’s favor: 1) she’s a Victoria’s Secret supermodel, which basically guarantees her place in the supermodel pantheon, and 2) she looks really, really, REALLY good in lingerie. And come on, at the end of the day, isn’t that all that’s required of someone who calls themselves a supermodel? That they look so stunning in lingerie that seeing them makes you want to run out and buy some for your non-existent girlfriend? I know it has that effect on me!
Random Supermodel of the Day: Erin Wasson

Our Random Supermodel of the Day is Erin Wasson, an American supermodel who you probably have never heard of. It’s not her fault, that’s for sure, because the girl has it all going on and has the makings of a superstar in the biz, but the fact that she’s not “exotic” (i.e. she’s not Brazilian or Russian) probably hurts her chances of getting up there to Heidi Klum or Gisele Bundchen status. But forget all that. We happen to think Erin Wasson is one heck of a doll, and would love to see her get more famous very soon. Hopefully showing more pictures of her in her skivvies will help. Yes, it’s true, we’re generous like that.

Our Random Supermodel of the Day for today is May Andersen, who if I’m not mistaken, once dated grungy Detroit rocker Kid Rock, who was once married to Pamela Anderson, who is now married to that guy who used to put it to Paris Hilton on a regular basis and shot that famous sex tape. But I digress. May Andersen has nothing to do with that guy who is now married to Pam Anderson, but she did used to date the guy who Pam Anderson used to be married to. And oh yeah, she’s a Dutch supermodel who has done work for Sports Illustrated and Victoria’s Secret. You know what’s not secret about May Andersen? She’s a major babe, but then again, you probably already know that.

You have your Brazilians, you have your Americans, and you even have your Australians, but have you had your Latvian supermodels just yet? I don’t think you have, but that’s about to change with today’s Random Supermodel of the Day, who just so happens to be Inguna Butane, a Latvian supermodel who hails from somewhere in, um, Latvia. Our little Latvian wonder has done magazine and runway work for Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, L’Oréal, Neiman Marcus, and of course, the Holy Grail of all supermodels, Victoria’s Secret. And plus she looks good, too, but then again I guess you already know that.

Who knew the South Africans were producing supermodels nowadays? Well apparently they are. Their latest product is Michelle Cowley, who looks like a cross between Daniella Pestova and, um, someone else. Basically, she’s a supermodel and she was born to look good in a two-piece bikini. Other than that? I have no clue. Here’s Michelle Cowley doing some work for Sports Illustrated. I don’t know if that’s the South African version or just the standard SI version, but if it’s both, I’m definitely buying both copies. That is, if they have different pictures. I mean, damn, I’m not going to buy both versions if they have the same pictures. That would be, like, really nuts or something.

When was the last Australian supermodel that graced our sad and pathetic lives? Wasn’t it Elle McPherson? Wait, she was Australian, wasn’t she? Or was it Rachel Hunter? Well, it was either one of those or none of those. Look, I ain’t no librarian! But I digress. Our Random Supermodel of the Day is Megan Gale, who hails from Perth, Australia, but who actually launched her career in Italy before finally making good back at home Down Under. That exotic look is the result of being half British and half Polynesian, and besides looking good in almost nothing, she’s also well-versed in Australia’s local instrument, the didgeridoo. Now how many supermodels can say THAT?

Besides being engaged to former The Bachelor star Andrew Firestone, our Random Supermodel of the Day Ivana Bozilovic may or may not actually qualify as being a supermodel, but she is a model, and it’s been a hell of a long time since I made an entry into this column, so here it is. Although of Serbian origins, our girl was born in Chicago, Illinois, making her an all-American girl in every respect. Since her modeling days, she’s gone into acting, with roles in “100 Girls”, “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder” and “Wedding Crashers”. And oh yeah, did I mention she’s now engaged to that guy who used to be on The Bachelor? Lucky bastard. Ivana is a major catch for sure.

Our Random Supermodel of the Day is Hana Soukupova, a tall drink of water from the Czech Republic. Now I don’t know how many other Czech supermodels there are, and I’m way too lazy to do a google search, but there can’t be all that many of them. Let’s see. There’s Hana, and … Hana. Wait, I’m sure there are more. But in any case, Hana tried her hand at basketball for a while, probably because she was the tallest girl in her entire town, but ended up modeling at age 13. Yes, 13 years old. What was I doing when I was 13? I was watching Transformers on TV and wishing I could transform. Hana Soukupova, meanwhile, was modeling all around the world. And they say girls are more mature than boys. What nonsense!

Yes, kids, it’s that time of the year again, when we have discovered a brand spanking new supermodel (at least to us) worth posting about in our Random Supermodel of the Day column. Now you may ask, “But wait, there are PLENTY of supermodels you haven’t featured yet!” Well the easy answer is, “Yeah, that’s true, but most of them aren’t WORTH featuring.” But Aurelie Claudel? Yeah, I’m gonna say she’s worth it, and more. She’s a French supermodel from, uh, France, who has appeared in Sports Illustrated’s famous swimsuit edition and is, simply put, a stunning looking babe. Enjoy Aurelie Claudel. (I mean, come on, that name is even sexy…)

It’s been a while since we’ve indulged in a little Random Supermodel of the Day, so what better way to get back on the horse (remember, kids, when you fall off the horse, the best thing to do is get right back on! Unless, you know, getting back on might mean your death and such, then by all means DON’T get back on the horse) then to post one on a Sunday. The lucky girl is Jessiann Gravel-Beland, 5′10″ Ford Model disciple from Montreal Canada with killer looks and a “it’ll just keep getting better” body of work. In-between magazine appearances and fashion runways, Jessiann spends her free time googling Johnny Depp’s name on the Internet.

It’s been a while since we made another entry into the Random Supermodel of the Day (which sorta defeats the purpose of calling the category “Random Supermodel OF THE DAY”, but I digress), but that’s only because we haven’t found anyone to put in here. But now we have. Her name is Nicole Neumann, and later this month we’ll add her to our Latin Flavor and sorta cheat, but shhhhh — don’t tell anyone. Our girl is an Argentinian supermodel and actress, and if that isn’t enough to get you excited, how about this — she has a sister named Geraldine who is ALSO a supermodel. How you like them apples? (And I hope you love apples…)

Look, kids, it’s a supermodel to add to our Random Supermodel of the Day category, and get this — she’s American! Yes, it’s true, they DO exist! Her name is Frankie Rayder, and she hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota (someone, quick, run over there and see if there are more like her; if I know one thing about supermodels, it’s that if you see one, you can usually find more from the same location — i.e. Brazil). Besides looking so good in a bikini that it hurts, Frankie is married to Michael Balzary, also known as Flea from the band The Red Hot Chili Peppers. No, not the lead singer, one of the other guys. The guitarist, I think, but don’t hold me to it.

That’s right, kids, it’s been a while, but our Random Supermodel of the Day is Brazilian import (you sorta figured this part out, right?) Renata Maciel dos Santos, who hails from, um, Brazil. Or, to be more precise, Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, which I think is somewhere near Mexico City, or is that in Mexico? Um, okay, so my geography sucks, but there’s nothing wrong with my eyes, because Renata Maciel dos Santos is what they call HOT. Please to enjoy.

Brazil practically supplies the world with 90% of its supermodels. It’s true, I heard it on CNN, and you know it has to be true if it’s on CNN. Right? Anyhoose. Our latest find is Brazilian stunner Isabeli Fontana, here showing off the good looks and good genes on the runway in a very skimpy ensemble. Or as the kids say, ensomb. Wait, do the kids say that, or am I making it up? You’ll never know. Muhahahahahahha. And such.

Russian supermodel Irina Sheik is from Russia with Love. I know, I know, that’s so lame. It’s like, “So she’s a hot girl from Russia, so OF COURSE you have to use the ‘From Russia with Love’ cliche.” Well geeeeeeeez, I’m sorry for my general lack of creativity. You guys are so demanding. But I digress. Russian lingerie model Irina Sheik was born Irina Shaykhlislamova, and is sometimes credited for her fashion work as Irina Shayk, but she’s generally known as that righteously hot Russian supermodel from, er, Russia. With Love. Ha! See? I dare to buck your low expectations of me. Besides on the runways and lingerie catalogs, you probably caught her on the 2007 Swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. (Seriously, why don’t they just get rid of the sport and just do the swimsuit year round?)

Yah, it’s another supermodel from Brazil. What, you complaining? Our Random Supermodel of the Day Fernanda Mello may just be one of the most gorgeous thing to come out of Brazil in a long while. She’s got that a great body, one of those “not too skinny, but just right” body types, and just a killer face. She’s been working the runways since 1996, but I’ve never heard of her until now, which is more my fault than hers. Fernanda Mello is a face, and body to remember. Now if only she’ll return my phone call. Is calling a girl 50 times in one day too much?

You hear that? That’s me getting all giddy because I’ve just discovered a spanking new supermodel. Her name is Vanessa Lorenzo, and she hails from Barcelona, Spain, which means she’s, um, Spanish. I think. (Wait, Spaniards come from Spain, right?) Among her credits, Vanessa has done Vogue, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, and Sports Illustrated’s famous (or is that infamous?) swimsuit issue. She currently calls New York home and headquarters, which makes her the, like, 5000th supermodel to reside there. Damn that city’s got a lot of supermodels. I should probably move there. I wonder how much a Greyhound bus ticket to New York costs…

Slovak supermodel Adriana Sklenarikova (she’s since changed her name to Adriana Karembeu after getting hitched — the lucky bastard!), originally hails from Brezno, Slovakia, which is around Bizarro Land, if I’m not mistaken, but currently calls the City of Lights (aka Paris) home. See? Who says this site doesn’t teach you geography! Our lovely blonde supermodel is no dummy, and actually studied medicine before ditching it to become an internationally renown supermodel. And if you live in Europe, you might have caught gigantic billboards of her modeling the Wonderbra bras. Wonderbras: Greatest invention known to man, or deceptive advertising? You decide!

Our Random Supermodel of the Day is Anne Marie Kortright Martinez, otherwise known as Anne Marie Kortright. Here’s more about her from Wikipedia: She acted in Maxim Uncovered! Vol. 2, directed by Tim Fennell. This was a documentary about Maxim (magazine) magazine that came out in 2004. She also appeared in Maxim the Real Swimsuit DVD, Vol 1., directed by Keith Blanchard and Andy Clerkson. This was also a documentary that came out in 2004.

A native of Perth, Australia, Pania has appeared in Sports Illustrated and walked the fashion runways for Lloyd Klein, Geova, Rebecca Taylor, and Jeremy Scott, and if you know who those four guys/girls/whatever are, then you are wasting your time reading this posting. She stands 5′11″ and fills out a bikini (and the occasional lingerie) like no one’s business. Well, except ours, of course, but that goes without saying, doesn’t it?
