If you don’t recognize Danish supermodel Rie Rasmussen as a model, you might recognize her as the model who Rebecca Romijn (her best friend) made out with in a bathroom stall in the movie “Femme Fatale”. The whole thing, of course, was to steal the priceless necklace Rie’s character was wearing. Rie Rasmussen is a real renaissance woman, and besides tantalizing men on the runway, she’s also a writer, producer, and director, and in 2005 she starred in French auteur Luc Besson’s “Angel-A”. And did I also mention that she once made out with Rebecca Romijn in a bathroom stall?

You can count the number of supermodels who have made a successful transition from the catwalk to the movie screen on one hand. And unfortunately, you won’t be able to include Angela Lindvall among the list, as her big break in 2001’s “CQ” was an unmitigated disaster, mostly because the movie sucked. Angela Lindvall has started to get back into film again, with roles in 2003’s “New York Stories” and Shane Black’s 2005 action-comedy “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”. She might never be the next Rebecca Romijn, but hey, she can wear blue paint for me any day.

It’s been awhile since we did a Random Supermodel of the Day (mostly, if you were wondering, because it’s kind of hard to keep finding new supermodels to spotlight everyday, thus a category called “Supermodel of the Day” is more like “Supermodel of the Week (or Two)”), but I digress. Here’s Linda Vojtova, who hails from the Czech Republic and was the winner of the Elite Model Look competition in 2000. Basically, if you want to be a supermodel, winning the Elite Model Look is like winning American Idol for wannabe singers.

Says Wikipedia about our Random Supermodel of the Day: Juliana Martins (born on October 3, 1984 in José Bonifácio, São Paulo state) is a Brazilian model. She worked for Sports Illustrated, and contested in the 1997 Elite Model Look. Juliana Martins was labeled the Brazilian Cindy Crawford by John Casablancas when she was thirteen years old. Not a whole lot. You would expect Wikipedia to have more, but oh well. She’s Brazilian, she’s hot. Nuff said.

Our Random Supermodel of the Day Ines Rivero stands 5′11″, which makes her nearly 3 inches taller than me. Mind you, not that that’s going to stop me from trying to mack on the girl if I should ever run into her. Which, obviously, will never happen, but what the hey, a guy’s gotta dream, right? Anyhoo. Ines Rivero hails from Argentina, and has appeared on the cover sof ELLE, Glamour and Vogue, and has segueway into movies, portraying the pivotal role of “Superodel” in “Boys and Girls” and “Clacker in Elevator” in “The Devil Wears Prada”. I mean, who could forget the clacker in the elevator in Prada? I know I couldn’t. Wait, what’s a clacker again?

English supermodels don’t come around very often. In fact, I wasn’t even sure they existed. After all, with all the Brazilians, Argentinians, Americans, and yes, Canadians out there filling out all those supermodel positions, what’s left for the Brits? Apparently Lisa Snowdon doesn’t feel that way, because between television and singing gigs and dating George Clooney, she’s managed to walk enough runways, been on enough magazine covers, and looked good enough in a bikini and lingerie that Wikipedia has bestowed her the title of “supermodel”. Which is good for us, because it’s another reason to post pictures of her.
9 April 2007
From Russia with love? Well, maybe just a long, leggy kiss. Our Random Supermodel of the Day is Marina Linchuk, a 5′11, blonde, and blue-eyed beauty from Minsk, Belarus. She’s done work for Club Monaco and United Colors of Benetton, and has graced to cover of Russia Vogue. Runway wise, she’s walked for everyone from Christian Lacroix to Valentino and all points in-between. She’s currently represented by IQ Moscow, so if you need to hire her for a show in your basement, you know whom to call.
7 April 2007
Julie Ordon, our Random Foreign Babe of the Day, hails from Geneva, Switzerland, the land of free checking accounts and 4.5% savings rate. (Or maybe not.) In any case, our Swiss miss has since relocated to America, where she prowls the runways and catalogs of Victoria’s Secret, and dates really rich and famous guys like Stephen Dorff and Mark Wahlberg. Which leads me to this: For once I’d like to hear that these really hot foreign supermodels are dating some average guy. You know, like me. Sigh.
6 April 2007
I know what you’re thinking: “Finally, an American lands in the Random Supermodel of the Day post!” That’s right, baby, today we have Brooklyn Decker. And come on, with a name like “Brooklyn”, you gotta know that she’s an all-American girl. (Either that or her parents really like the Brooklyn Bridge.) Hailing from Middletown, Ohio, Brooklyn Decker made her first appearance in Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue in 2006, then returned for a repeat performance in 2007. she’s also one of the stars of the wannabe TV series “Lipshitz Saves the World”. So what did YOU do for the last two years?
3 April 2007
Does Elettra Rossellini, daughter of the famous Isabella Rossellini (in case you were wondering why the last name sounded familiar), really qualify for our Random Supermodel of the Day post? Well she is a fashion model, so that’s one; and she has been on the cover and inside the pages of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, so that’s two; and three, she’s just been named the newest spokesmodel for Lancome cosmetics. Plus, she’s fluent in English, Italian and French, which I think gets her extra bonus supermodel points.
29 March 2007
As you can probably tell by her name, our Random Supermodel of the Day, Fabiana Tambosi, is not American, Canadian, or British. She’s yet another tall, leggy, and ultra hot Brazilian supermodel to grace our unworthy eyes. And just in case these gorgeous pictures of her doesn’t do it for you yet, here’s a little trivia about her: Fabiana lives in New York with fellow Brazilian models Michelle Alves and Aline Nakashima. Can you say, “The ultimate fantasy scenario?” I knew you could.
26 March 2007
I don’t know a whole lot of Polish thoughts, which would be idea for situations such as this, when I’m posting a supermodel that hails from Poland. Now I could probably throw out a couple of Russian jokes, even a dozen or two Honduras jokes, and yes, I am well versed in Finnish jokes. But Polish jokes? Other webmasters have them in abundance, but not I. I just have no Polish jokes for you today. Which is sad, when you think about it. Oh well. Wait, where was I? Oh, right, here’s Polish supermodel Karolina Malinowska, who is, um, from Poland. Skinny little thing, isn’t she? I’m pretty sure I have bigger boobs than her.
21 March 2007
It’s that time of the day again, when I bring you, dear readers, our latest supermodel find. This time it’s Spanish fly Almudena Fernandez, who hails from Benavente, Spain, but was raised in Madrid. Our girl comes to us courtesy of a supermodel competition that she attended when she was a senior in High School; although she placed second, that was more than enough to pique the curiosity of the right people, and since then she’s worked for Revlon, L’Oréal, Kenneth Cole, Parasuco, and Victoria’s Secret, landing her squarely in our Random Supermodel of the Day category. Ogle away!
13 March 2007
Whoopie do, another Brazilian supermodel graces the Random Supermodel of the Day category. So what else is new? Nevertheless, our trophy girl for today is one Jeisa Chiminazzo, a Brazilian import who currently resides in the Big Apple. The big trivia about lovely Jeisa is that she was discovered by some guy when she was just 13. He took her to a modeling agency and, as they say, the rest was history. Which leads me to this observation: Since when is it acceptable that grown men are going around noticing 13 year old girls enough and “inviting” her to go to a modeling agency with him? Am I the only one who thinks there’s something not quite right about that? Anyways, here’s Jeisa Chiminazzo.

Polish supermodels don’t come around very often, but when they do, we like to celebrate their existence by lumping them into one big all-encompassing category because that’s just how we like to roll. Anja Rubik has been in Vogue Italy, Numero, Flair, and modeled for Givenchy, Chloe, Christian Dior, Hermès, Chanel, Balenciaga, and Louis Vuitton. The only thing left is a stint with Victoria’s Secret to finish off her entry into the world of supermodels. Well, Victoria, what are you waiting for? Invite the girl already! (And no Polish jokes, please.)
5 March 2007
I get giddy when I “discover” a new supermodel, so as you can imagine, I’m pretty giddy right now. Our latest find is Hawaii-bred Tori Praver, who pops her mainstream cherry by gracing in the inner pages of the 2007 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which, incidentally, you should have already gotten by now, lest your official status as a Man be revoked. Besides SI, our blonde beauty has done ad campaigns for Guess? (question mark included, of course) and Victoria’s Secret, thus thrusting her into the stratosphere of supermodels, that rare air usually reserved for the latest Brazilian, Argentinian, or some leggy beauty from down south.
26 February 2007
Michella Cruz, not to be confused with “Michelle Cruz” (um, I don’t know who that is, either), is a supermodel of, I assume, Latin origins. Or, to be exact, she hails from Cruzeiro, Vale do Paraíba, Brazil. That’s right. Yet another Brazilian supermodel graces the Random Page. Am I doing this on purpose? Is this clearly an attempt that I have been paid off by the Brazilian Government to promote their glorious supermodel imports? Could be, could be. Then again, it could also just be that I like my tall supermodels, and most of them just happens to be Brazilian. Being just as clueless as the rest of you, I’m going with the former. Yum, Brazilian buckos. (They taste like pesos, for some reason…)
23 February 2007
You would be forgiven for thinking that the blokes at Victoria’s Secrets only hires Brazilians or Argentinians to walk their runways and slip on their lingerie for the catalogs. After all, name one non-Brazilian in the VS farm system right now? Okay, there are plenty, but how many of them are Americans like Selita Ebanks? Or at least, British-Americans? (Hey, half of insanely hot is still pretty hot.) Originally born on the Cayman Islands, Selita Ebanks has done work for VS as well as Ralph Lauren, Levi’s, Abercrombie & Fitch, Tommy Hilfiger, and Clinique. The woman gets around!
19 February 2007
Oooh, I’m giddy. I always get this way when I discover a brand spanking new supermodel that I didn’t know existed before now. And as a self-imposed connoisseur of all things supermodel-ish, I was doubly excited to discover the existence of supermodel Jessica White — an American, no less! (I know, right? Who knew Americans still produced supermodels. Go figure.) Jessica has been on the coverse of Cover Girl, Chloe, and The Gap, and was discovered at 16, once more reminding us that supermodels should be above the law. They’re just better people, doncha know.
13 February 2007
Who is Bruna Magagna? I don’t know, but she sure looks good in a two-piece bikini, don’t you think? And in case you were about to ask, Yes, she’s yet another leggy Brazilian to break through into the supermodel world. Bruna isn’t quite as well-known as other Brazilians Gisele, Adriana, and the 5 billion other Brazilian supermodels currently working, but we’re sure she’ll get there eventually. And if not, hey, I have a couple of modeling gigs that I need someone for. Nevermind that they’re in my basement…
