Another day, another leggy Brazilian supermodel. So what else is new? Here’s Raica Oliveira. Wikipedia says about her: “Raica Oliveira is a Brazilian supermodel, best known as one of the faces of Dior. Shortly after winning 2nd place at the Elite Model Look International Final in 1999, Raica (pronounced Hi-KA) was christened “The sensation” at the fall fashion shows in Paris and Milan. This 17 year-old stunner managed to emerge as one of the most talked about models of the season alongside fellow Elite stars Adriana Lima, Maggie Rizer, Oluchi and Karen Elson.” So now you know.

Our Tuesday Random Supermodel of the Day, Sofia Zamolo, hails from Argentina, yet another South American country that has been producing tall, leggy supermodels like it’s going out of style. Have you ever wondered what would happen if Argentina and Brazil get together and form one country? I mean, Gosh, they could become the world’s greatest country, with an army of tall, leggy supermodels capable of stunning men with a mere look and causing traffic congestion by crossing the street. But perhaps I’m just thinking out loud. Let’s hope Argentina and Brazil never merge, for the universe might not survive it. But um, where was I? Oh right, here’s more of Sofia Zamolo.

If I had a penny for every famous women that came out of Texas, I would have Erin Wasson and, um, Renee Zellweger? But considering Zellweger’s propensity for playing British women nowadays, I don’t think you can even call her a Texan anymore. But I digress. Erin Wasson is a supermodel who hails from Irving, Texas (around Dallas or thereabouts to you non-Texans), but now lives in Brooklyn, New York, where all tall leggy supermodels are kept when they’re not allowed to roam runways.

I know what you’re thinking: finally, a Japanese supermodel! Well yes and no. Yes, Aline Nakashima is half-Japanese, but she’s also half-Brazilian, and she calls Brazil her home, which makes her — da dum da dum!!!! — another leggy Brazilian supermodel! Hmm, I’m starting to detect a pattern. But I digress. Her portfolio includes Sports Illustrated, DKNY, and of course, the Holy Grail for all leggy Brazilian supermodels, a stint with Victoria’s Secret. That’s like winning the lotto for this breed of humans, or somethin’.

Look, kids, it’s Bigfoot! Well, not actually, but it is something just as rare — a leggy supermodel that doesn’t hail from Brazilian. Yes, it’s true. Blond lovely Jessica Van Der Steen is from Antwerp, Belgium, home of, um, Belgium waffles? Maybe not. Anywhatever, Jessica Van Der Steen hit it big time when she landed in the pages of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit issue, after which she graduated to Victoria’s Secret. What is Jessica’s secret? Probably that she’s unnaturally hot, but maybe that’s not so much a secret anymore.

What better way to come out of Christmas Day then a fine Brazilian woman with legs that go on forever and ever and ever? Yes, that’s right, I’m speaking off — well, really, you can say that I’m speaking off about 100 Brazilian supermodels, but for right now the woman in question is Alessandra Ambrosio. Victoria’s Secret secret, Sports Illustrated, and just looking downright fine in a two-piece bikini. Which, when you think about it, is really all the requirements of a supermodel. That, and being able to walk in a straight line, which is really important.

Come on, even the name sounds hot. Flavia De Oliveira? That sounds like a flower, or at least a really pretty grass. And yes, as if you didn’t already know, she’s yet another tall, lean, and skinny Brazilian Victoria’s Secret model. I swear, Victoria’s Secret should just build a clinic in Brazil and start breeding this girls from conception onward. Other than cocaine, coffee beans, and naked beaches, I’m pretty sure supermodels are Brazil’s biggest imports.

Russian supermodel Valentina Zelyaeva has such a long, lean, and perfect physique that you’re almost convince she’s the latest Brazilian supermodel to come down the pipe. Not true. Valentina Zelyaeva is very Russian and the new face of Ralph Lauren. Although if I was ol Ralph, I’d make her the new body, butt, and and legs of Ralph Lauren, too. But maybe that’s just me. I’m stick of Brazilian supermodels!” Well you’re in luck, because Bianca Balti is not Brazilian, she’s actually a tall, leggy Italian supermodel. (And really, if you’re sick of Brazilian supermodels, then you’re obviously either a girl or gay.) This is Bianca Balti, who, rumor has it, will be taking over Gisele Bundchen’s Victoria’s Secret wings once the Brazilian hottie “retires”, although “retire” to do what I don’t know. What do you think, can she date Leonardo and strut half-naked on a catwalk?

Apparently when someone told Argentinian hottie Carolina Pampita Ardohain to get crazy with her wardrobe, she took them seriously, and grabbed a roll of duct tape and started “dressing”. Or maybe that’s just a really lame joke to introduce these pictures of a smoking hot Carolina Pampita Ardohain covered in duct tape. Either/or. Here’s your random supermodel of the day. In duct tape. The Brazilians may have the supermodel world sewn up when it comes to pure bulk numbers, but the Argentinians aren’t far behind. Besides Yamila Diaz, there is, urm, other people from Argentina. Although born and raise in Argentina, Diaz is actually Lebanese and Spanish, and has achieved probably the pinnacle of fame — showing up on Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue, as well as Victoria’s Secret catalogs and other fine products (and stores). She is, in a word, Argentinian goodness.

Or maybe this should be “Random Ex-Supermodel of the Day”, as Estella Warren is one of the very few supermodels who have managed to make the jump from the runway to the movie screen with classics such as “Planet of the Apes”, “Kangaroo Jack”, and “Trespassing” (or better known by its lesser known name, “Evil Remains”). And of course by “classic” I mean movies that you wouldn’t want to watch a second time if you were unfortunate to watch them the first time. But I digress. Estella Warren, bad movie career choices or not, is friggin hot. And the swimwear doesn’t hurt, either.

Ah, Laetitia Casta. The first French woman to convince me that perhaps, just perhaps, my irrational dislike of the French was off based. Then again, I still don’t like the French all that much, but I do like Laetitia Casta very much. She’s also one of the handful of models turned actress who have made it. Sort of. Don’t ask, I’ve never seen any of her movies, but I hear she’s good in them — i.e. she gets nekkid in them. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go rent some French movies…

The Eastern European country of Romania has given the world a lot of things, including, um, bad direct-to-video movies starring Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, and, um, that’s about it. But wait! There’s also supermodel Alina Puscau, and really, when you can boast one supermodel hailing from your parts, that’s pretty much all you need. Oh sure, Romania still looks like it’s stuck in the dark ages, but, um, at least Alina Puscau is from there.

Stephanie Seymour was one of the originals, back before the word “supermodel” became superfluous. To be honest with you, I’m not sure if Stephanie is still working anymore, although I’m sure she still has the body (and most definitely the face) to work the runway even today. And hey, once you’ve dated Axl Rose, you can basically do anything you want. God owes you one.

Oooh la la, the French strikes again, this time with the exotic Jennifer Lamiraqui, who is mostly known in France, but defintely deserves to get a wider, international appreciation. Now, while I continue to maintain that the French are only good for making cheese and surrendering at the most inopportune time during a fight, their women are another matter. Laetitia Casta, Monica Bellucci (though technically Italian, she married into French for some UnGodly reason), and now you can add Jennifer Lamiraqui to the list. Oooh la la indeed!

Composed of Serbian, Iranian, Turkish and Filipino blood, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr is all mixed up when it comes to bloodline, but 100% babelicious when it comes to genetics. Besides doing the whole “too sexy for your ass” courtesy of a modelling gig exclusively with Victoria’s Secret, Kerr has also been spotted gyrating about in music videos, including Pharrel and Kanye West’s “Number 1″. She started modelling when she was just 13. At that same age, I was picking my nose and trying not to miss every Transformers episode known to man. I rock.

I’ve never been to the Netherlands, but I hear they have some pretty nifty, er, plants for sell. Plus, the girls seem to be really hot, but then again, it could just be that Doutzen Kroes is raising the expectations for Dutch beauty to an obscene level. But in any case, expect to see more of Doutzen Kroes’ enticingly limber legs for years to come, as she’s signed a 3-year deal with Paris makeup giant L’Oréal.
