300 Spears 5 MTV Movie Awards Nominations

Frank Miller’s 300 cleaned up at the box office, and now it’s preparing to spear the living bejesus out of the 2007 MTV Movie Awards, nabbing five nominations, including Best Movie, making it tops. Coming in a close second is “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” with four. Nominations for 300 includes: Best Performance for star Gerard Butler (Leonidas), Breakthrough Performance for Lena Headey (Queen Gorgo), Best Villain for Rodrigo Santoro (Xerxes), and of course, everyone’s favorite, Best Fight for Leonidas’ battle with the “Uber Immortal” aka that deformed Giant, who actually isn’t an Immortal, but nevermind.
