David E. Kelley pissed off a lot of people when he cleaned house on Boston Legal by getting rid of pretty much everyone on the cast whose name wasn’t William Shatner or James Spader. Which meant we will not be able to see Julie Bowen’s lovely face on the tube anymore, thanks to him. But hey, Kelley is quickly climbing out of the hole with some great additions to Boston Legal’s Season 4. He’s got three incredible faces (and legs, oh my, the legs) to add to the cast in Tara Summers, Rhona Mitra, Saffron Burrows. How psyche am I to see Saffron Burrows on the small screen on a regular basis? Oh my, it’s like Christmas and my Birthday all rolled into one! And then you add Rhona Mitra? Holy cow, I love this show!

When was the last time anyone, not counting her friends and family, saw Saffron Burrows? Exactly. Her last notable movie was the Adam Sandler non-laffer “Reign Over Me”, and since no one saw that one, well, no one really saw Saffron Burrows either. Her latest is “The Bank Job”, a crime caper based on a true story, and co-starring Jason Statham. Here’s Saffron at the Cannes Film Festival doing a photocall for the movie. Hey, if you gotta fly to Paris to work, why not work all day on a yacht in the warm sun, right? You gotta love the French. Don’t you?

Saffron Burrows was supposed to be the next big thing; or at the very least, one of the more promising British lass to attempt a takeover of Hollywood. But after starring roles in “Deep Blue Sea” and a dozen others, she hasn’t really had any lasting power in Hollywood, much less gotten any more known since that shark flick. Saffron’s latest film is “Reign Over Me”, or otherwise known as “Adam Sandler gives up the retarded voices and does something adult” movie. In the film she plays Donna Remar, and co-stars alongside Liv Tyler, Sandler, and Don Cheadle. Here’s looking to see more of Saffron in movies not involving stuffy British people doing stuffy things.

Alfonso CuarĂ³n’s sci-fi flick “Children of Men” is getting a lot of buzz lately. The film, about mass infertility bringing about the extinction of men, stars Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. And since Cuaron is a bitchy little American basher, I’m sure he’ll find some way to blame us eeeeeeeeeeevil Americans for his fictional movie’s global extinction problem. But I digress. Attending the flick’s UK premiere were Elizabeth Banks, Saffron Burrows, Alice Evans, and Clive Owen, who althought not officially a babe, is the star of the film, so that counts for something I figure.
