Hot girls on TV are pretty darn hot, but throw in a little super power, and all of a sudden it’s super power hot city. (Yeah, just go along with it.) So who are the hottest of the superpowered hot set? There are a lot of obvious ones (how about every girl that has ever showned up on either Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel, for starters), but some you might not have thought of. And we’re not just talking about superheroes, either; pretty much anyone with powers, bad girls and good girls, qualifies for our little list. Cheer up, Buffy fans. So your show has been off the air for, what, ten years now? (As you can tell, my sense of space and time is excellent as usual.) But hey, that doesn’t mean you’ll be seeing less of your favorite vampire slayer, aka Sarah Michelle Gellar. Okay, sure her movies have sucked donkey balls, and no one has gone to see them, and the girl sure could use a hit, but that doesn’t mean this topless appearance in Maxim Magazine (damn those strategically placed arms!) where Sarah is looking really good is a desperate move to get back into the public eye. I mean, right? Um, okay. Anyhoo, here’s Sarah Michelle Gellar’s appearance in an upcoming issue of Maxim. Go out and get it, Buffy fans. You get to see Buffy in the, uh, buff. Well, sort of.

Sarah Michelle Gellar turns 30 today. Okay, so maybe she turned 30 two days ago, on the 14th, but since we didn’t notice it until now, we’re going to pretend she turned 30 today, and go from there. (That’s just how we like to roll around these here parts, doncha know.) So what’s the point in celebrating a woman’s 30th birthday, you ask? It’s not like she’s turned 40, or 50, or God forbid, 60. At 30, you’re basically still a pup. Then again, in Hollywood 30 is like turning 40. They’re messed up that way. In any case, Sarah Michelle Gellar turns 30 today, and she’s still a smoking piece of, um, actress.

Even if Joss Whedon had been able to forged his very own Buffy from clay, he couldn’t have done better than Sarah Michelle Gellar. She’s everything a girl named “Buffy” should be — hot, blonde, and dangerous. Most “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” geeks will tell you they watched the show because of Whedon’s witty writing, but let’s face it, most of the guys watched “Buffy” for, well, Buffy. How could you possibly get enough of this little hot blond girl running around stabbing vampires in the chest with a stake? That’s just brilliant stuff!
Hollywood Babes Love to Hold a “Grudge 2″
Who knew a scary ass Japanese mom and her equally scary ass kid could be so popular? Apparently the Japanese knew, because before “The Grudge” came to America, it was a Japanese horror franchise. Thanks to Sam Raimi, who knows a thing or two about cool horror franchises, “The Grudge” has now been Americanized (don’t get your panties into a bunch, the original Japanese creator/director is doing the remakes himself), which leads to Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nikki Griffin, Amber Tamblyn, Arielle Kebbel, Eva LaRue, and Kristen Bell braving the horrors to attend the premiere. Those brave, brave girls.
Movie Preview: Sarah Michelle Gellar in “The Return”
“The Return”, not to be mistaken with “The Grudge”, returns (har har) Sarah Michelle Gellar to horror territory as a traveling (and brunette!) businesswoman who begins getting strange visions of a murder that occurred 15 years ago, leading her to a farmhouse out in Podunk America, where she will invariably encounter inbred yokums and the like. I mean, this is an American horror movie set in rural areas, so of course everyone who isn’t a city slicker will be as broadly drawn as Anna Nicole Smith’s IQ.

Oh, so that’s why she dyed her hair black! I was wondering what was the deal, especially since Sarah Michelle Gellar didn’t look all that hot as a brunette while promoting “Southland Tales” in Cannes a few weeks back. But well, I have to say, I was wrong, and she’s looking quite the lovely little lass here on the set of her new movie “The Girls’ Guide to Hunting & Fishing”, which I assume is about girls hunting and fishing, but then again, I also thought “Brokeback Mountain” was about a mountain that broke people’s backs, so my intuitive Sherlock Holmes-esque deduction skills are a tad off.
