Shania Twain in “The Will of a Woman” Promos

21 April 2009

Most of you kids probably don’t even remember when Shania Twain burst onto the scene with her tight pants and midriff bearing shirts, what with your Britney Spears and Lady Gagas and other nonsense. But I’ll tell you what, back in the day, Shania Twain was the hottest thing in a pair of cowboy boots and Stetson, and although she wasn’t exactly the best singer out there, she sure was easily the hottest looking one. It’s been a few years (give or take a decade), and Shania Twain is not as young as she used to be, but judging by these new promos for most recent album “The Will of a Woman” – Shania Twain is still the hottest thing I’ve seen out of country music in, well, since Shania Twain 10 years ago!

Shania Twain in Maxim

18 October 2007

See, this is one of those times that, had I been around in 2003, I would have posted this spread by country music goddess Shania Twain in Maxim Magazine. But of course I wasn’t around then, and was probably too busy chasing girls around a college campus somewhere, so I didn’t notice this great spread by the lovely Shania Twain. Anyways, it’s time to remedy my foolishness with this posting. Back in 2003, Shania Twain took some of it off for an appearance in Maxim, quite possibly one of the first for a woman from the world of country western music. And wow, does she look good or what? Let’s hope the rest of country music’s grand ladies follow suit!

Sundays with Shania Twain

6 May 2007

It used to be that you didn’t associate the words “smoking hot” with “female country singer”, but that was B.S.T — Before Shania Twain. The Canadian country crooner changed the way we looked at female country singers — or, actually, the way we looked at country singers completely. Even Faith Hill wasn’t Faith Hill until Shania Twain did the bare midriff thing that she’s most known for nowadays. And yeah, it did help that she knew how to knock those songs out of the park, too. But even without the hit songs, the sexy videos, and the (lack of) concert attire, Shania Twain would still have made it big. Hot women always find a way to. So all you female country singers out there, thank Shania Twain when you meet her. She made your careers in the mainstream possible, and did it with sex appeal aplenty.

Country Goodness with Taylor Swift

25 April 2007

What’s this? A potential challenger to the throne of Country Music Hotness? Hey, why not. Although Shania Twain and Faith Hill have provided us with many pleasures over the years, it’s about time someone came around to knock them off their perch. Could that person be 17-year old Taylor Swift, who first made it big in 2006 with the song “Tim McGraw” (who we will assume is about Tim McGraw, husband of Faith Hill, and a country star himself — “Indian Outlaw”, anyone?) Taylor is a guitar slinger, a singer-songwriter, and she’s got curly blondes. I predict good things for this country gal!
