Victoria Beckham is Coming to America

I’m not as much shock that Victoria Beckham is getting her Reality TV show (because frankly, anyone can get a Reality TV show nowadays; hell, even the Corey Boys are getting their own Reality TV show on A&E, and no one even remembers who they are!), but I am a little shock that Beckham’s show, “Coming to America” ended up at a big network like NBC. Second tier celebrities usually will be happy to get their Reality TV shows on cable TV, but not NETWORK TV. I mean, come on, that’s FREE TV, and in America, free TV is actually more prestigious than pay TV. But anyways, she’s got her own TV show, and she’s coming to America (or so I’ve heard), and here’s your first taste of Posh in L.A. God help us all. Although I do kinda like the fact that Beckham’s trip to the DMV will suck just like the rest of ours.

The Spice Girls Reunion is On!

After disbanding in February of 2001, the Spice Girls are back. Because, obviously, what this crazy world needs now the most is a Spice Girls reunion. Yes, it’s true, kids, Victoria Beckham, Melanie B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Halliwell are back together again, and the Spice Girls (or G’s as I like to call them) have brought the band back together for another go-round. So where can you catch the G’s, and will they come to your hometown? Well that depends. Do you live in LA, Las Vegas, New York, Beunos Aires, London, Koln, Madrid, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sidney or Cape Town? If not, the you’re SOL, because those are the only towns they’re coming to. Welcome to America, Victoria Beckham

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or has absolutely no interest in anything that’s happening in the world today, then you probably already know that Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice herself) and Mr. Posh, David Beckham, will be moving to the States very soon when Beckham goes to play in the MLS for the L.A. Galaxy soccer club. As Americans unofficial representative, I’d like to say, “Welcome to America, Victoria. Call me!”

Victoria Beckham to do Reality TV?

With her singing career stalled (re: deader than Rosie O’Donnell’s sex appeal), former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham is eyeing a resurrection via a reality TV show based on her life. She’s due to make the move to the United States when hubby David Beckham arrives in L.A. to play soccer for the Galaxy, so this would make for a perfect career move. Plus, there’s the matter of her celebrityhood — I’m pretty sure the Brits know all there is to know about the Beckhams, but they’re still a relatively unknown commodity in the U.S., so a Reality TV could work, similar to the Osbournes. Minus the vulgarity, one presumes.

David Beckham Invades American Soccer, Hot Wife Not Far Behind

It’s one of those head-scratching moments that only comes around once in a while, such as when a premiere soccer player of David Beckham’s stature decides to come play soccer in American for a league that is barely viable, that makes you go, “Huh?” News today is that Beckham has signed a gazillion dollar contract with the L.A. Galaxy to come play soccer (or futbol to you international folks) in America. No doubt wife Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham, she of ex-Spice Girls fame, will follow her man across the Pond. In honor of this impending extra dose of hotness to the American zeitgeist, here are some of Victoria Beckham’s greatest hits.

Victoria Beckham is Yummy Mummy #1

According to this, the Brits know their yummy mummy, and they’ve crowned former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham (aka the pretty one, i.e. Posh Spice) as the queen of Yummy Mummies. Round out the Top 5 were Nigella Lawson, Angelina Jolie, Jools, and Kate Winslet. (And no, I don’t know who Jools and Lawson are, so don’t ask.) Of course the men weren’t left out in the cold. Beckham’s significant other, David Beckham, topped the “Dishiest Dads” list. Only in Britain could words like “Yummy Mummy” and “Dishiest Dad” be used and not get you punched in the face.

The formerly defunct Spice Girls have announced that they’ll be going on a reunion tour starting October (according to this article). Everyone has agreed to come back with the exception of Melanie C., who really, really wants to hold onto the fantasy that she has a solo career. Whatever, Melanie C.
