Dennis Miller on David Spade’s Showbiz Show

10 August 2007

Not long ago Dennis Miller was on David Spade’s Comedy Central show “The Showbiz Show”, where Spade lampoons the Hollywood community and their, well, stupidity. I had heard about the appearance but missed it, but finally found a copy of the interview at Comedy Central’s own site. It’s as good of a sit-down as I thought it would be. Basically, Spade (or Spudly as Miller calls him) throws out the topics and Miller rips on them. And hey, if you’re one of those radio shows, tune in to Miller’s radio show. He’s funny there, too. Sal is also a riot.

Video: Wedding Thriller Dance

9 August 2007

I’ve become obsessed with videos of people imitating Michael Jackson’s Thriller music video. Seriously, there’s something so catchy about it. Maybe it’s just the music, which has such great beats, pulses, all that stuff that makes a song great to listen to over and over. But really, maybe it’s the dedication it takes to actually get a bunch of people together to do the Thriller dance. Here’s one you haven’t seen before: a wedding ceremony where the bride and groom, with their guests, do the Thriller dance. No, seriously. It’s kinda cool, actually.

Video: Homer Simpson’s Greatest D’ohs

8 August 2007

Homer Simpson, fat and incompetent father of the Simpsons brood, likes to say “d’oh” when he does something wrong. And since Homer tends to do a lot of things very wrong very often, he tends to say “d’oh” a whole lot. Now some geek without a life has collected all of Homer’s “d’oh” utterances and put them on YouTube. Frankly I’m stunned the video hasn’t been pulled yet. I would think FOX has trolls that go around pulling videos of their shows off YouTube and other video upload places. Check it out, kids. Homer’s Greatest D’ohs.

More Merry Miller Mayhem

7 August 2007

Look, kids, it’s ABC attempting to spin the Merry Miller travesty into something fun! Oh joy! In the aftermath of Merry Miller’s butchering of an interview with Holly Hunter (see here), ABC News is doing everything it can to try to “deal” with the situation — by making light of it! Even Miller herself has gotten into the act. Gawker says: “In an attempt to make lemonade out of the lemon that was Merry’s interview with Holly Hunter, ABCNewsNow is holding a contest where the “prize” is a guest shot hosting “What’s the Buzz,” the scene of Merry’s famous flameout.” Har har, good try, boys, but everyone recognizes a FUBAR when they see one.

Video: The Perfect Girlfriend Commercial

6 August 2007

People scoffed at me when I told them that a “perfect girlfriend” did indeed exist, and she wouldn’t care if you were a little bit fat (me), a little bit hairy (me again), watched too much football (soooooo me), and from time to time, journeyed into the dark dens of hell called strip clubs (oh dear god SOOOOO me). In fact, she would PREFER you do all those things, and she would spend all her time in a bra and panties, and she would look so hot in them. Plus, she’d let you do whatever you wanted to her. I’m telling you, guys, this perfect girlfriend DOES in fact exist, and now we have video evidence.

Videos: Rush Hour 3 Trailer

6 August 2007

So sue me, but the “Rush Hour 3″ trailer looks funny as hell. Yeah, I know Chris Tucker is annoying, and Jackie Chan is getting kinda long in the tooth, but it STILL LOOKS FUNNY. Check out the latest trailer for Tucker and Lee’s third-go-around as partners in crime (or is that partners in coppering?) in “Rush Hour 3″. I hear that the film has been banned in China. Why? Because the Chinese Government sucks eggs, because if you start taking movies like “Rush Hour 3″ seriously enough to ban it, you’re a couple of brain cells short of, well, brains.

Kevin Smith vs. a Fan at Comic Con — WHO YA GOT??

3 August 2007

Kevin Smith is a funny dude. Sure, you might not like any of his movies, but in person, this is one funny dude. And vulgar, too. This video is SOOOO NSFW. So here’s Kevin Smith, at Comic Con (an annual geek event at San Diego), who is taking questions from the audience. This fat white kid with glasses goes up to the stand and dares to ask Smith if he’ll ever do anything original. Smith, of course, answers as if it was a good question, but then quickly rips on the guy’s mom. It goes on for two minutes. Smith is just ripping the guy a new one, and the lesson of the day is: “Never attack a dude with a microphone.” Sucka.

Video: Vince Young vs. Donnie Nickey in Titans Camp

3 August 2007

So it’s Titans spring training camp, and ex-Ohio State dork Donnie Nickey thinks the way to “play hard” in spring camp is to nearly break his wide receiver’s neck in a tackle. Mind you, this is JUST PRACTICE, and they’re ON THE SAME TEAM. So Vince Young gets in his grill and bitch slaps his dumb ass across the helmet and it’s ON. The whole thing is on ESPN, and this is actually where this video clip comes from. I’m a big fan of VY, and love the way he goes after the idiot. I mean, dude, you’re on the same team! Don’t try to break your teammate’s neck, you dumb meat locker!

Video: Merry Miller’s Train Wreck Interview with Holly Hunter

2 August 2007

Wow, does Merry Miller actually speak English, or is she reading her teleprompter phonetically? I swear, I have never seen an anchorperson do such a poor job with an interview. Poor Holly Hunter. Here she is, an Academy Award winning actress, who has done some great works in her life, and all she’s trying to do is promote her new TV show “Saving Grace”, and she has to come face to face with this bumbling blonde who can’t even read the teleprompter without stumbling all over words like “Hello”, “Hi”, and, yup, ABC. Merry Miller actually MIS-IDENTIFIES HER OWN NETWORK at the end of the video segment! Truetruetrue, indeed!

Video: Funniest Commercial Ever?

1 August 2007

Now I don’t know if this is the funniest commercial ever (I forgot what product it’s selling, but does it even matter?), but it’s pretty close. So this guy pulls up to this girl’s house for a date. She climbs in, and before he can circle the car and get in himself, she lets rip a loud fart to get it out of the way. When the date climbs in, he smells it, and then introduces her to — BUM DA DUM BA DUMMMMM!!! — his two friends, sitting in the backseat. The girl didn’t notice them before she let one rip! Funniest commercial ever? Maybe…

Videos: Christopher Walken Cooks a Chicken with Pears

31 July 2007

Actor Christopher Walken cooks a chicken, and calls it “Chicken with Pears”. Then he uploads it to YouTube. Or someone uploads it to YouTube. Except the clip isn’t labeled as having Christopher Walken in it, but if you look at the clip, it’s clearly Walken. If you didn’t know who Christopher Walken was, you’d probably see the clip and think, “This dude is cooking a chicken. So?” Well, it IS Christopher Walken, and it’s unendingly fascinating. Why? Because it’s Christopher Walken and only Christopher Walken would think of making a video of himself cooking a chicken with pears. It’s Crhistopher Frakkin’ Walken COOKING WITH PEARS.

Video: Stewie Beats Up Brian on Family Guy

30 July 2007

This is, bar none, my favorite scene from FOX’s “Family Guy”. In it, Brian (the family’s talking dog) has borrowed money from Stewie (the family’s talking baby), and now Stewie has come to collect. It starts out perfectly fine, with Brian just finishing taking a show (yes, the family dog takes showers), when he’s confronted by Stewie, who asks him for the money. Brian says he doesn’t have it, and that’s when the pain starts. The beating seems to go on forever and it’s INSANELY FUNNY. You gotta see this.

Video: A Lip-Syncing Beyonce Falls in Concert

27 July 2007

So in case you didn’t hear, Beyonce Knowles recently did a concert in Orlando, and took a major nosedive down a couple of flight of stairs during a song. She was a real trooper, though, and popped right back up in character. But what most people sort of missed was the fact that Beyonce was apparently still singing while she was nose-diving face-first! I.e. she was lip-syncing when the fall happened! Either that, or Beyonce has an amazing ability to sing AND fall at the same time! Which might be possible if you planned it, but not when it’s a freak accident. Which explains why Sony is desperately going around having the videos pulled from YouTube. Can’t have people know that their star lip-syncs in concert now, can they?

Video: Rob Schneider as Lindsay Lohan on the Tonight Show

26 July 2007

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Lindsay Lohan was busted for driving on the freeway while high on coke. Or she had coke on her. And I’m not talking about coca cola coke here, kids. I’m talking about the China White. Nose candy. COCAINE. Which meant she couldn’t show up at Jay Leno’s Tonight Show as scheduled. As a result, Rob Schneider pitch-hit for the poor girl, and the interview was a riot. If you didn’t think Rob Schneider could make you laugh without a copy machine anywhere near you, you’re wrong. Check it out and laugh your ass off. Rob, you rock, man. (And may I say, you look good in that dress…)

Video: Obama Girls vs Giuliani Girls Dance Off

25 July 2007

Okay, first of all, let me just say that this video is really stupid, and kind of embarrassing considering how hard they’re trying (seriously, the whole Obama Girl thing was soooo last week), but I love what this guy who uploaded the video wrote, and I think it’s worth posting just to repost his intro to the video: “Until women are given the right to vote theyre gonna have to express their political opinions through scantily clad dance routines. I for one will be voting for whichever side goes topless first. Thats how a real American picks his president.” You’re damn skippy!

Video: MMA Feet to Face Knock-out

25 July 2007

Those guys at Break.com, I swear, I don’t know where they get these crazy videos. (Actually I think people upload them, so the Break.com guys don’t actually do all that much, but never you mind that; never let the facts get in the way of a good gag, I always say. Mind you, not that I talk to myself, but I’m just saying.) Anyhoo. It’s a mixed martial arts cage fight between two guys, then one guy gets kicked in the face and goes down. The guy who did the kicking runs around screaming like a jackass. It’s fun had by all — except for the guy that got kicked in the face, anyway.

Video: Prisoners Do Thriller Music Video

23 July 2007

I don’t know if this is in a real prison (if it is, and going by the looks of the guys, it must be in some kind of Asian prison), but if it is, man, that just makes this video about 5,000 times cooler than it would be if this was some staged parody of Michael Jackson’s Thriller music video. And yes, there is a reason why Thriller is so often parodied. Remember that Indian parody? Basically, this is Michael Jackson in his heyday, back when he couldn’t do any wrong. (The whole touching kids inappropriately thing sort of put a damper on that.) And if this is being done by real prisoners? Apparently prison only sucks in America…

Video: Harry Potter in the Hood

23 July 2007

Apparently I’m the only person in America who didn’t run out to buy the latest Harry Potter book when it came on sale over the weekend. Then again, I like to think that I’m a rebel; when people were buying Backstreet Boys CDs, I was overdosing on Rage Against the Machine; when everyone was watching The West Wing, I was too busy catching up on episodes of Family Guy. And when people run away from danger, I run towards it. Okay, so maybe that last one was kinda stupid of me, but I didn’t go out to buy the latest Harry Potter book. Now if Harry Potter was in the hood like he is in this music video, I might think about buying a copy. Maybe. Okay, probably not…

Video: 6-Minutes Long Ultimate Simpsons Intro

20 July 2007

Ever wanted to see all those introduction segments to “The Simpsons” — or at least, all the really cool ones? Yes? Well you’re in luck, because some dude compiled quite a lengthy batch of Simpsons intros — 6 minutes worth, in fact. My favorite has to be the very first one, a live-action version of the Simpsons intro. I’m not sure if it was done for the show, or if it was shot by someone else outside of the show. I’ve seen almost every episode of the first 6-7 years, but “grew out” of the Simpsons thereafter, so this intro could have come after I abandoned the Springfield brood. Please to enjoy.

Video: When Paintball Goes Wrong

18 July 2007

Paintball is a growing sport that is taking over the world; or at least, my part of the world, and really, isn’t that the really important part? Anyways. If you don’t think paintball is a sport, then you’ve never tried playing paintball in an official skirmish, with teammates and obstacles, and don’t know what kind of strength, agility, skill, and helter skelter mentality it takes to be successful. Then again, you give a paintball gun to two guys, have them stand 10 feet apart, and then take turns shooting each other in the legs and nuts, and you get — this. Um. You know what I said about how paintball is a real sport? It is, but what these guys are doing? It’s just wrong. Funny, but wrong. (P.S. I like how they scream when they get hit; it’s like they’re SHOCKED that it hurts.)
