Yamila Diaz, whose full name is Yamila Diaz-Rahi, is an Argentine supermodel of Lebanese and Spanish descent. Besides the usual haunts of supermodels like Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated, our girl has also done acting, with a major leading role in “Il Pesce Innamorato” (translated as”Love of the Fishes”, or “The Fish in Love”, one of those), an Italian comedy co-starring Leonardo Pieraccioni. In the film, Pieraccioni played Arturo, a writer of children’s books, and Yamila played Matilde, the woman he falls in love with. Hey, who wouldn’t fall in love with her?

The Brazilians may have the supermodel world sewn up when it comes to pure bulk numbers, but the Argentinians aren’t far behind. Besides Yamila Diaz, there is, urm, other people from Argentina. Although born and raise in Argentina, Diaz is actually Lebanese and Spanish, and has achieved probably the pinnacle of fame — showing up on Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issue, as well as Victoria’s Secret catalogs and other fine products (and stores). She is, in a word, Argentinian goodness.
