Okay, I’ll admit it, it’s not the blue skin, it’s the fact that Zoe Saldana’s blue-skinned alien is mostly nude in the trailer. I’m easy that way.

I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but holy shit, this latest trailer for “Star Trek” actually looks good. In fact, it looks so good I might even tell people I might go see this thing and not have them look at me like I’m a total loser who has never touched a girl. Okay, so maybe I’ve never touched a girl, but that has nothing to do with this post. As I was saying, this trailer for the Trek reboot looks friggin’ awe-tastic. That’s right, it looks so good I couldn’t just use awesome or fantastic, I had to joined the two words and call it awe-tastic. That’s how awesome/fantastic this thing looks. Check it out for yourself, check it outers. Bonus reason to see this thing: the scorching hot Zoe Saldana plays a young Uhura and Kirk gets to take that hot ass for a spin. Booyah!

Since Zoe Saldana is about to star in James Cameron’s new sci-fi extravaganza (re: it’s gonna cost more money than some countries in Africa make in a decade), it’s only right to show you the face of the woman you’re going to be seeing a lot from in, oh, 2 years or so. She’s gonna be a big, big star after “Avatar” hits the theaters, and you can say you saw her here first. Mind you, not that Zoe Saldana has been an unknown, because she has been in dozens of films, it’s just that you’ve probably never noticed her before (or seen her movies). So consider this your introduction to James Cameron’s latest muse, Zoe Saldana. Ain’t she lovely?

Via AICN, here’s news that James Cameron has settled on the cast of his new big-budget (and sure to be pioneering) sci-fi movie “Avatar”, and has already shot a couple for a couple of days in the jungle. Besides gorgeous Zoe Saldana and Sigourney Weaver, the cast consists of Peter Mensah, Joel David Moore, C.C.H. Pounder, and Laz Alonso. The stars are Zoe Saldana and an Aussie bloke by the name of Sam Worthington, who no one has ever heard of outside of Australia, but that won’t remain true once “Avatar” hits screens Summer 2009. Yes, you’ll have to wait 2 years to see “Avatar”. Oh well, nothing good comes quickly, right?
