It’s taken 8 years, but one of my favorite directors of all time, Christopher McQuarrie, has returned to the director’s chair with “Standard Prison Experiment”. Most movie people will know McQuarrie from his Oscar-winning screenplay for “The Usual Suspects”, but I’ve been a mucho fan of the guy since he wrote and directed the too-awesome-for-words crime flick “The Way of the Gun”. Now, McQuarrie will direct “Stanford”, about “an infamous human behavior study that took place in the early ’70s”, according to Variety. The $11 million dollar movie was written by McQuarrie and Tim Talbott, and casting has already begun.

And if you haven’t already, do check out 2000’s “Way of the Gun”. It is just the most awesome crime movie ever made, with a final 20-minute shootout that just rocks.
