Emily Blunt Gets “Wind Chill”
I didn’t even know who Emily Blunt was until a few months ago, and now it seems like I can’t go a day without hearing about Blunt being in a new movie. There was that whole rumor about Blunt replacing Katie Holmes in the upcoming “Batman Begins” sequel, but that proved false when it was announced Maggie “Creepy Girl” Gyllenhaal had already nabbed the replacement role. But don’t cry for Blunt, she’s got a ton of movies coming up, including the horror movie “Wind Chill”, which the producers/writers told Sci Fi Wire is their homage to Japanese horror films. Hmm, I don’t know if it’s such a good idea to be doing homages to tired genres, but what do I know, I just sit in my underwear and write about movies.
“Wind Chill” centers on two college students (Ashton Holmes and Emily Blunt) who meet to drive cross country for the holidays, only to break down on a deserted mountain road in the middle of a brutal winter. The road, it turns out, may be haunted by something sinister. Gregory Jacobs directed.
Some Emily Blunt to get you “chilled” for the weekend.
