Geek Alert: Terrence Howard is War Machine

Terrence Howard has joined the cast of “Iron Man” as Jim “Rhodey” Rhodes, the best friend of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) played by Robert Downey Jr. For you comic geeks out there, you know that eventually Rhodes puts on the Iron Man armor when Stark becomes indisposed, before stepping into a grey Iron Man-like armor called War Machine later on in comic book continuity. No word on rather Howard will ever put on armor, but it’s doubtful. Maybe in a sequel? (source)
