Gillian Anderson ditches aliens and Fox Mulder for Danny Dyer (”Severance”) and a telescopic rifle in “Straightheads”, a Brit thriller about a middle class couple (Anderson and Dyer) whose life is turned upside down when they are assaulted one night while coming home from a party. She gets gang raped and he loses an eye, and now it’s all about cold, bloody vengeance. The film is written and directed by Dan Reed, and should hit British theaters well before making its U.S. premiere, most likely on DVD where Gillian Anderson fans, still rabid for Dana Scully after all this years, will grab it off the shelves by the buttload.
