Just kidding on “The Comeback” part, of course. (Or am I?) But according to Cinematical, “Gladiator” director and swords-and-sandals-movie obsessive Ridley Scott has plans for a “Gladiator” sequel that will somehow bring back the character of Maximus (played and died in the original by temper tandrum baby Russell Crowe) and possibly that of Djimon Hounsou’s African warrior. No word on how he plans to do this, as, you know, Maximus died and all in the first one. But in any case, we just hope he brings back Connie Nielsen, cause she’s soooo purty.
