There have been a lot of rumors about all the women who were supposed to play Iron Man’s love interest in Jon Favreau’s upcoming big-screen live-action superhero movie. Famke Janssen was mentioned as a possibility, and a host of other actresses that I never bothered reporting. But it seems as if the real Pepper Potts has been found — Gwyneth Paltrow. What makes this more than a rumor? Well for one, Marvel Entertainment has announced the signing of Paltrow in the role, so there goes the “rumor” tag. Who the heck is Pepper Potts and what does she have to do with Iron Man? I have no idea. I know absolutely squatto about Iron Man, except that he’s a billionaire playboy who runs a company and wears a giant suit of armor to battle crime and junk. Me, I’d just vacation a lot and bang hot supermodels, but what do I know.
You know, I don’t know about this signing. I mean, how is Gwyneth Paltrow going to squeeze a major Hollywood movie into all the time she spends bashing America to foreign newspapers and then defending her bashing later on? I mean, come on, that takes a lot of effort there, chief!
