Hurray for Bollywood’s Lisa Ray

So who is Lisa Ray? She’s definitely not your typical Bollywood star, that’s for sure. Not only is she originally from Canada, but she’s done modeling work that, I’m sure, would be frown upon in India, where the most the leading man and woman ever gets to do in their movies is hug…tightly. The movie that first alerted me to Lisa Ray was “Bollywood/Hollywood”, a sort of Western take on the Bollywood romantic comedy from Indian director Deepa Mehta. It was kind of lame, but then again, I never could get into the idea of people spontaneously doing musical numbers in movies.
