Iranians Call Shenanigans on “300″
I know this is going to shock you, but it’s true: Arabs, in particular those of Iranian descent, are majorly pissed off at the portrayals of the Persians in the Hollywood movie “300″, a tale set in 480 BC, when the Persian empire attempted to conquer Greece, but got their butts handed to them instead. (In case you were wondering why, Persia equals Iran. Same difference. Back then, now, etc.) Not only is that nutjob Iran calls a President calling the film “cultural propaganda” (Iran bans all Hollywood movies, in case you were also wondering), but Iranians everywhere (but mostly in Canada, of course) are doing various things to show Warner, the company that produced “300″, that they’re mad as hell and they’re, well, going to take it, but they’re going to whine real loud. Some of the “protests” are funny, such as the dorks demanding Warner apologize for the film. Hey, genius, it’s a friggin Hollywood movie. When was the last time Lalaland did anything that resembled the “truth”? Get over it!
