Is Lipstick Jungle the New Sex and the City?

Geez, I certainly hope not, as I thought “Sex and the City” was one stupid p.o.s. of a show. Seriously, any show that tries to convince me Sarah Jessica Parker is hot can’t be taken very seriously. The cast of NBC’s new “girl power” show “Lipstick Jungle” is certainly more appealing, with Kim Raver providing a sexy center to a trio of babes consisting of Lindsay Price and Brooke Shields just trying to make it through the world of corporate business, aka it’s a man’s world. Result: Lots of sex in the office. Kim Raver + sex in the office = massive ratings. Maybe. Let’s just hope Jack Bauer doesn’t find out.

The latest Sex and the City-inspired soap, this one from the actual writer of Sex, Candace Bushnell. Three powerful New York City women, played by Brooke Shields, Kim Raver (24), and Lindsay Price (Pepper Dennis, wear great clothes and have wacky sex lives. The trio seems to have good chemistry, and the scenes are funny enough, though that may just be my good cheer at seeing 24 escapee Kim Raver do something but shake and cry.

It hits this Fall.
