Jaime King is a former model who turned to acting, and has stayed in the acting game. The first time I really saw her (as in, I saw her in other movies, but I just never noticed) was in “Bulletproof Monk”, where she played Bad Girl, and was pretty good. Besides that, she’s also very hot. Which makes her new movie “They Wait” of interest to me. Via Fangoria: Jaime King and Terry Chen star as a couple who return to North America for a family funeral, having lived in Shanghai, China for the previous six years. Soon after they arrive, their son begins to see ghosts and suffer possession by one of the living dead, and it all ties in with the Chinese festival of Ghost Month, when the doors of hell supposedly open and angry spirits are given the chance to terrorize the living.
The cast also includes Henry O, Cheng Pei Pei and genre veteran Michael Biehn, and is directed by Ernie Barbarash (”Cube Zero”) for Brightlight Pictures. The film is currently shooting up north in Vancouver.
