So they’re remaking “Revenge of The Nerds”. What, you surprise? They remade “The Dukes of Hazzard”, for God’s sake, so what’s destroying an ’80s classic teen sex romp to lame-ass Hollywood suits? Anyways, Jenna Dewan, last seen in the shocker box office success “Step Up”, will be in the cast, so that in itself is worth catching this thing on DVD. As I recall, the original “Nerds” was pretty funny. But then again, back then if a movie had more than two fart jokes, I considered it genius, so what do I know.
According to the Hollywood Reporter:
Dewan plays an 18-year-old college freshman who catches the eye of nerd Max (Christopher Marquette) on their first day at their new college. Pinkston (”Punk’d”) plays Felch, a 15-year-old whiz kid who is in over his head as he enters his first year of college.
Zano (”What I Like About You”) plays the guitar-toting surf-rat sophomore quarterback who is the president of the Alpha Beta Fraternity and the nerds’ nemesis.
