Fans of CBS’s nuke drama rejoice! It appears that CBS has renewed “Jericho” for a full second season — or at least according to the blokes over at SyFy Portal, who says, “A source tells SyFy Portal that CBS is expected to pick up “Jericho” for a second season, although it may move to a new night when fall rolls around. The show has had a tough time against competition such as “American Idol” on Fox this spring after its return, but the network has shown nothing but promise for the show, giving it a full season order when some thought it might be heading to the big one-season place in the sky.” And hey, if it turns out false, you can blame them. But for now, be happy, and don’t drink the radiation-tainted water!
I’ve seen “Jericho” on and off, and I admit, I am intrigued by it. The only thing I didn’t really like about the show were some of its characters. They just didn’t seem like people who had just learned that their country was nuked by a bunch of terrorist scums, and instead acted like the same spoiled, greedy a-holes. Anyways, that was early in the first season, so maybe the writers improved their characters since, who knows.
“Jericho” stars Skeet Ulrich, Ashley Scott and Gerald McRaney, and centers on a small Kansas town whose residents are coping with the aftermath of a nuclear attack on the United States.

“Hear that, guys? A second season of dodging radiation poisoning! Woohoo!”
