Here’s proof that good things does happen to nerdy superheros with the power to stop time, but can’t quite grasp the ability to make it work in a useful manner. Here’s news that Masi Oka, one of the stars of NBC’s hit show “Heroes”, has joined the cast of the real-life movie “21″, about a bunch of MIT nerds who used a numbering system to beat the house in Vegas, then wrote a book about it. Sounds like fun times!

“The film is inspired by the true story of a group of men who learned the art of card counting and won millions of dollars gambling. Oka is in talks to play a supporting role. The Columbia Pictures project is based on Ben Mezrich’s best-seller “Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six M.I.T. Students Who Took Vegas for Millions.””
