More “The Sarah Connor Chronicles” Series Details
In an interview with Sci Fi Wire to promote her upcoming movie “300″, the film’s star Lena Headey dropped some news about her upcoming TV series “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, in which she’ll star as Sarah Conner, picking up the role from original star Linda Hamilton in the movies. According to Headey, the series will open with a “a confrontation between Headey’s title character; her son, John Connor (Heroes’ Thomas Dekker); and two new Terminators: a female model, played by Serenity’s Summer Glau, and a male one, which she called Cromartie, played by Owain Yeoman. One is good and one is bad; she didn’t say which is which. (Glau’s character is named Cameron, an apparent nod to Terminator franchise creator James Cameron.)” Continue on…
I like the nod to Cameron. Also, this confirms that Glau will be playing a Terminator in the show, as previously reported. Still not sure if she’ll be a good one or a bad one, but maybe good, since that might provide some kind of “love interest” for young John Connor. You know, man-machine is a lot more acceptable when the machine part looks like hot to trot Summer Glau.
Headey continues:
The pilot “begins, and it’s them basically running, hiding, trying to live,” Headey said. “Trying to carve out a normal life for themselves, but always being watched and trying to locate Skynet, trying to stop [it]. But there are many, many issues in their way.”
All of this sounds good to me. One of my favorite sci-fi franchises come to TV, and if they keep the movies in mind, they won’t necessarily destroy continuity, although I’m sure they’ll bump up against it a couple of times, as it seems inevitable when you make a TV show that exists within the framework of the original story.

The Terminator takes no guff from anyone. Hide the pets and shrinks.
