The thing about NBC’s “Friday Night Lights”, the TV series version of the 2004 motion picture of the same name, is that it’s a pretty damn good show. It’s got pretty good, if not great, acting; pretty good, if not great, writing; and pretty good, if not great, directing. Basically, it’s a pretty good, but not great, TV show. Which makes it about, oh, better than 90% of the crap on TV right now. But I don’t know if the show will come back for a second year. The ratings haven’t been good, and I don’t think NBC is going to stay with it past its first year. Which will be a damn shame, as one of the best part of the show was Adrianne Palicki, who plays the rebellious Tyra Collette on the show.
