French actress Virginie Ledoyen’s big Hollywood break came when she starred as the female lead in the 2000 movie The Beach. If the title of the movie sounds familiar, it’s because it starred Leonardo DiCaprio, but even then, the movie was a major flop at the box office, effectively killing all hopes of Virginie Ledoyen becoming a known name in the U.S. Which is totally our loss, because the little lass has continued to make movies in her native France, starring in films like, well, the titles are all in French, and I’m terrible with French, so you know, just take my word for it.
