German actress Alexandra Maria Lara first came to international attention when she played Traudl Junge in the World War II movie “Downfall”, about the final days of a bunker-livin’ Hitler. Traudl Junge was Hitler’s secretary in the Oscar nominated movie. Since then, Alexandra Maria Lara has gone the “work til you drop” route, with no less than six projects in 2007 alone, including five movies and one mini-series. Although she works in Germany, Alexandra Maria Lara is half Romanian-German, and was born in Bucharest.
