“Rush Hour 3″ is a Pain in Jackie Chan’s Neck — Literally

Watch out for that shoe, Jackie! Oops, too late. While shooting “Rush Hour 3″, Jackie Chan injured himself when he, according to this article, “hit by a steel-reinforced wooden table” in the chest, the same spot where he was hurt when someone kicked him in the chest while filming the Hong Kong action-comedy “Rob-B-Hood” earlier this year. In the film, the third in the popular and commercially successful franchise, Chan plays a Hong Kong cop partnered with a loudmouth American cop played by Chris Tucker, and the duo goes to Paris. Hey, at least they’re not in space, right?

All three installments in the franchise has been directed by Brett Ratner (”X-Men 3″), and this third installment’s pre-production has been plague by contract disputes and rumors that Tucker was holding up production for more money.
