Apparently Russell Crowe and Ridley Scott really enjoys working together — or at the very least, they seem to think the other guy brings them luck, because Variety reports that they’ve teamed once again (having worked previously together on “Gladiator” and “A Good Year”) for “Nottingham”. The film is being described as a revisionist look at the legend of Robin Hood, where the Sheriff of Nottingham is a law and order type good guy trying to put an end to the crime spree of criminal Robin Hood, who robs from the rich and gives it to himself. One supposes “Nottingham” is on the slate once the duo finishes up “American Gangster”.
In case you missed it, the BBC also has a new Robin Hood series going on Across the Pond that is supposed to be a contemporary “re-imagining” of the character. I haven’t seen it yet, but it sounds very interesting, especially if you love the legend.

The tight pants is a dead giveaway. He’s bad news, alright.
