Apparently the less than stellar performance of Sam Da Man Jackson’s “Snakes on a Plane” (despite a world of hype) hasn’t dampen New Line Cinema’s enthusiasm to work with everyone’s favorite snake-battling actor. From Yahoo News, which says New Line has signed a 2-year production deal with Jackson, which usually entails an office on the New Line lot and other perks.
Jackson and his still-untitled company will set up offices in Los Angeles. He is searching for an executive to run the shingle and is expected to hire staff soon.
“I have made four movies with New Line so far, and they have all been immensely positive experiences for me,” Jackson said.
So what he means is he gets some free furniture courtesy of New Line Cinema. Can we then expect “Snakes in a Toilet” soon, Sam? One can only hope.
