His movie may have bombed (relatively speaking, of course, considering its ginormous budget), but that isn’t going to stop Brandon Routh from reaching for the Final Frontier — wait, wrong movie. Anyhoo, the guy playing Superman in “Superman Returns” is getting hitched to his girlfriend, Courtney Ford, according to People. The duo met on the set of a short film called “Denial”, and have been dating three years.
Routh, 26, proposed earlier this month with a sparkler from L.A. jeweler Neil Lane.
The couple met when Routh was tending bar at the rehearsal dinner for Ford’s brother’s wedding. The pair were apart for five months while Routh was shooting Superman Returns in Australia but have said that nightly phone calls during that period helped keep them together.
I just hope this one goes better than the one with that Lois Lane chick…
