As expected, the English-language debut of the Pang Brothers, the horror flick “The Messengers” took top stop at the box office over the weekend with a $14.5 million take. (I told you kids love this stuff, originality be damned.) Not exactly blockbuster stuff, to be sure, but for a movie starring non-stars and directed by Hollywood newcomers, it’s not altogether bad. Even better, it continues the winning trend of Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures, which have scored major hits with ghostly tales “The Messengers” and before that, “The Grudge” films. Chick flick “Because I Said So” came in second with $13 mil,

“Look, bro, a #1 Hollywood hit! Woohoo!”
