If “Punk’d” wunderkind Ashton Kutcher ever had the midas touch (and I’m not sure he ever did), it’s gone now, as his new show, “The Real Wedding Crashers”, tanked in the ratings despite a powerful lead-in in the massive hit “Heroes”. The show’s 1-hour premiere averaged a 5.0 rating and an 8 share in overnight Nielsen raitings, compared with 12.1/10 for CBS’s “CSI: Miami” and a 6.1/10 for ABC’s “The Bachelor”. This comes as a big disappointment to pretty much everyone, especially me, since I saw most of the show and thought it was pretty funny. The best part about the show? You know Ashton Kutcher produced it, but you never saw him (at least I didn’t see him in the 40 or so minutes I saw) in the show, because let me just say, the most retarded thing about Kutcher’s “Punk’d” on MTV is Kutcher himself as he spins back and forth between cameras acting like a spaz in-between the skits.
