In case you’ve been living under a rock, Andrew Speaker is the guy who had tuberculosis, knew that he had tuberculosis, but got on a commercial airline anyway, thus putting everyone else on the plane at risk. He wanted to get home from his honeymoon, and had to do it by circumventing U.S. customs and landing in Canada, before sneaking back into the U.S. via car. And get this: this guy is married to a woman whose father is a CDC researcher who specializes in TB!!! Yeah, it’s that kind of story. If it wasn’t real, you’d think this was a really bad movie with a terribly contrived script.
