When news broke yesterday that a tape of Dog Chapman going on a racist spiel about black people (dude was using the N-Word like it was going out of business, yo) surfaced on the National Inquirer’s website, everyone was thinking the same thing I was: How the hell did the Inquirer get their hands on the tape in the first place? Well now we know: Tucker Chapman, Dog’s son, the guy on the other end of that phone conversation, sold the tape for, according to Chapman’s lawyer, “a lot of money”. Apparently young Chapman was so pissed off at dad that this was his way of getting back. You know, I don’t know if I blame the kid. Okay, on one end, he just betrayed his father and basically destroyed the old man’s career for good; on the other hand, his dad is a frakkin’ racist jackass.
More from the AP:
In the conversation, Chapman urges Tucker to break up with his girlfriend. He also expresses concern about the girlfriend trying to tape and go public about the TV star’s use of the N-word.
Chapman has said he was “disappointed in his choice of a friend, not due to her race, but her character. However, I should have never used that term.” He also said he was ashamed of himself and pledged to make amends.
Hart said his client is not a racist and vowed never to use the word again.
“I have never seen anything that suggests he judges people by the color of their skin or racial background or anything but on their character,” he said. “Duane lost his composure and made very, very inappropriate remarks, for which he truly regrets.”
Well of COURSE Dog Chapman isn’t racist. He just, you know, likes calling black people n*gga cause it’s fun.
Um. Okay. I believe you, dude.
