Vin Diesel’s Sci-Fi Thriller “Babylon A.D.” Continues Production
After a brief 2-week vacation from production, the new Vin Diesel sci-fi thriller “Babylon A.D.” has resumed production in the Czech Republic, says Variety. “Babylon A.D.” is an upcoming 2008 science fiction film based on the novel Babylon Babies by Maurice Georges Dantec. The film is being directed by Mathieu Kassovitz (”The Crimson Rivers”) and stars Vin Diesel as a veteran-turned-mercenary named Thoorop, who takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman (Melanie Thierry) from Russia to China. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah. The film co-stars GĂ©rard Depardieu and Michelle Yeoh (as a nun!), and producers for the $60 million movie are looking at a February 29, 2008 release.
Everyone knows what Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeoh looks like, but who is Melissa Thierry? Here’s what she looks like:
