Oh what a tangled web we weave when we first learn to deceive. Or have sex when we’re 16 years old. Either/or. There is a rumor going around, started by the ever-reliable (no, really) Star Magazine (and reported here) that Casey Aldridge is NOT the real father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby, and instead the father is an “older man” who works on Spears’ Zoey 101 Nickelodeon TV show. So why the deception? Apparently the guy is old enough that if he confessed to having made Jamie Lynn preggers, he’d face rape charges, because she’s only 16, and still underage.
A family insider added: “Some of us have doubts as to the legitimacy of the claim that Casey is the father. Before the news of the pregnancy, how often did you see them together?
“Jamie Lynn has dated Casey on-and-off over the past two years. But it was not steady. Jamie Lynn went through a time of partying, and Casey was just a part of that.”
While Jamie Lynn – the sister of troubled pop star Britney Spears – has admitted being “shocked and scared” about becoming a mother at such a young age, she hasn’t commented on rumours Nickelodeon will be dropping her from Zoey 101.
But if Casey Aldridge is not the father of Spears’ baby, then why is he saying he is? Money, apparently, is the answer. Hey, I’d say I was Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby if you paid me enough, too.
Then again, we are talking about Star Magazine here, so take this celebrity tripe for what you will. I just find it amusing that the Spears sisters are, once again, in such deep ca-ca. Seriously, why is their mother allowed to raise more kids? And I hear she was writing a parenting book when this happened, too!
