Will Ferrell continues a potential winning streak, Russell Crowe romances the French, Christian Bale takes on East L.A., and Sarah Michelle Gellar gets into more supernatural fun. This might turn out to be a pretty fun weekend for moviegoers with eclectic tastes, with four very different films to choose from. Horror fans have SMG in “The Return”, which is basically just like every other Asian horror movie you’ve already seen; the romantic comedy “A Good Year” is the date movie; Christian Bale does psycho minus the bat suit in “Harsh Times”, from the writer of “Training Day”. The eventual winner of the weekend will no doubt be “Stranger than Fiction”, if only because those commercials for the movie are insanely funny.
