A retarded Kazakhstan reporter wreaks havoc in America, an animated rat voiced by Wolverine gets flushed down a toilet, and Tim Allen continues to wish he hadn’t cancelled “Home Improvement” in “The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause”. Meanwhile, Penelope Cruz stars in Pedro Almodovar’s “Volver”, about the making of the Volkswagen automobile — or not. Not exactly a whole lot to look forward to for the average genre fan, with “Borat” probably being your best bet for some laughs (and nervous giggles as the Brit makes fun of America), while kids should get a kick out of a talking rat and flushing toilets in the Hugh Jackman animation “Flushed Away”.
For my money, I’m going with the Borat movie, whose title is actually, “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan”. I mean, come on, just that title alone! You can check out a trailer for it below, plus some stills.
